🤓 When we talk about “food quality,” I’m not talking about sorting food into good and bad categories or pretending we’re never going to eat a donut again. ⁣
⁣
🍩That’s not realistic, and honestly, it’s not necessary... and kind of a bu****it story to tell ourselves. ⁣
⁣
⁣
✨ Food quality is really just about looking at what a food brings to the table and deciding how often it makes sense to lean on it.⁣
⁣
Some foods give us more protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, and staying power. ⁣
⁣
🤌🏽 Those are the foods we want showing up more often because they make it easier to support our energy, training, recovery, digestion, heart health, and overall nutrition.⁣
⁣
Other foods may still taste great and absolutely have a place, but they might be easier to overeat, less filling, lower in nutrients, or just not do as much heavy lifting for us nutritionally. ⁣
⁣
👉🏽 Those are foods we may choose less often...not because they’re “bad,” but because they probably shouldn’t be responsible for meeting most of our body’s needs.⁣
⁣
⁣
⚓️That’s the whole idea behind these food quality scales: eat more of some foods, some of others, and less of others.⁣
⁣
⁣
Not never. Not perfectly. Just choosing with a little more intention.⁣
⁣
I hope this helps. Enjoy! ⁣

🥴 Being sore all the time doesn’t automatically mean you’re injured.

More often than not, it means you’re under-recovering.

And here’s the part people don’t love to hear:
📣 No amount of sauna time, cold plunges, massage guns, or foam rolling will fix chronic soreness if you’re not fueling your body properly.📣

Those tools can help you feel better short term, but they don’t fix the problem.

Real recovery comes from:
• eating enough

• carbs to replenish glycogen (Stop with the “carbs are bad bu****it”)

• adequate protein

• hydration

• sleep (consistently)

If you’re training hard while trying to eat less, “stay light,” or push through fatigue, chronic soreness is the signal...not the problem.

If you’re interested in sprucing up your recovery 🔗 click that link in my bio to set up your FREE consult.

Today is National Quitters Day. The point in January when most New Year’s resolutions quietly fall apart.

Not because people are lazy.

Not because they “don’t want it badly enough.”

But because most plans rely on motivation instead of structure.

The first week of January is easy.

Life is calm. Routines feel fresh. Energy is high.

Then real life shows up:
• Work gets busy
• Training feels harder
• Meals aren’t perfectly prepped
• Sleep gets a little shorter

And suddenly the plan only works if everything goes right.

That’s where most people get stuck...not because they quit, but because the plan had no margin for being human.

This is exactly why I don’t coach around “perfect weeks.”

We build:
• Simple, repeatable habits
• Fuel that supports training and recovery
• Flexibility for busy days and off-schedule meals
• A plan that works even when motivation dips

Because progress doesn’t come from white-knuckling January.

It comes from having a system you can still follow Jan through December, year after year.

If your resolution already feels heavy, overwhelming, or fragile...we can fix it.

📍 If you want support building something sustainable, not another short-lived reset...I’m here.
