✨ What if your skin DOESN’T peel after a chemical peel? 👀
One of the biggest misconceptions about chemical peels is that your skin needs to visibly peel for the treatment to actually work.
But that’s not necessarily true!
Kaysie’s Skincare Journey | Part 4 🤍
We’re continuing to follow Kaysie as she works with our medical aesthetician, Justine, to address her melasma and cystic acne.
In this part of her journey, Justine walks Kaysie through what to expect AFTER her chemical peel.
Because what happens after your appointment is just as important as the treatment itself!
Some people experience noticeable peeling, while others may only have mild dryness or flaking. And as Justine explains, the amount of visible peeling doesn’t determine whether your treatment is working.
One of the biggest takeaways?
Don’t pick at your peeling skin! 🙅♀️
Picking can cause irritation and increase the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, something we’re especially mindful of when treating concerns like melasma.
Instead, follow your aftercare instructions, keep your skin hydrated, protect it from the sun, and give your skin time to recover.
What we love most about sharing Kaysie’s journey is giving you a look at the real conversations that happen during our appointments.
The questions. The education. The expectations. And the personalized care that goes into every treatment plan.
Because skincare isn’t one-size-fits-all. 🤍
And we’re not finished following Kaysie’s journey!
Follow along as we continue documenting her treatments, progress, and the next steps in her skincare plan. ✨
A special thank-you to Kaysie for allowing us to share her experience with you!
