The update addresses topics including cochlear implants, bimodal neuromodulation, somatosensory tinnitus, and self-harm risk, while recommending a comprehensive audiologic evaluation for patients with tinnitus. It also reinforces evidence-based approaches that remain central to quality tinnitus care, including education and counseling, hearing aids for patients with coexisting hearing loss, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and appropriate follow-up.
