You’re taking iron, but your levels are still low.
Sometimes the question is not simply, “Are you taking enough?”
It may also be:
Is iron still being lost?
Is your digestive system absorbing it?
Could inflammation be affecting how your body stores or uses it?
Could a condition such as celiac disease, H. pylori, or another gastrointestinal issue be contributing?
Iron deficiency can have several possible causes. Replacing iron is important, but understanding why it became low is another part of care.
At Root Remedy Restore, we can review your symptoms and history, order appropriate serum labs, and discuss whether additional gastrointestinal testing may be helpful.
For qualifying local patients, iron infusions may also be available through Ocean IV Therapy when clinically appropriate.
If your iron remains low despite oral supplements, message me to schedule a consultation.
Educational information only. Iron deficiency should be properly evaluated because inadequate intake, blood loss, malabsorption, inflammation, and other medical conditions may contribute.
