Welcome Baby M! 🌷 Born3/2/26

Surprise! This little girl decided she was ready to meet her family faster than anyone expected.

And a little extra sweetness? She shares her birthday with my own daughter, making March 2 a date that already holds a special place in my heart. 🤍

Mama showed incredible strength as things unfolded quickly and unexpectedly at home. Birth can ask us to find our footing in moments we never could have fully prepared for, and she met hers with so much courage.

There is something unforgettable about watching a mother rise to meet the moment her baby arrives.

Sweet girl, you picked a pretty special day to make your entrance. Welcome earthside!

Welcome Baby Girl L! 🌸

After days of prodromal labor, the waiting finally gave way to the sweetest reward: meeting their baby girl.

Those long days of early labor can ask so much of a mother. Physically, emotionally, and mentally. The uncertainty, the waiting, the wondering when things will finally change. It takes resilience to keep moving through it all.

Mama, your strength was present in every part of this journey. Not because birth has to look a certain way, but because you kept showing up through the unknown and made space to welcome your daughter.

Your birth story is yours, and it deserves to be honored.

Welcome to the world, sweet girl. You were so loved before you ever arrived.

If you're getting ready to support someone you love through labor, these three tips are for you!

1. Be present. Put your phone away, stay connected, and let them know you're right there with them. Sometimes, just being a calm, reassuring presence makes all the difference.

2. Learn their preferences. Talk about their birth preferences before labor begins. Know what helps them feel supported, what their comfort measures are, and how they want you to advocate for them if needed.

3. Take care of the little things. Offer water, help them change positions, apply counterpressure, or remind them to relax their shoulders and unclench their jaw. And when they're deep in a contraction, sometimes the best thing you can do is simply hold their hand.

You don't have to have all the answers or know exactly what to do every minute. Your support, presence, and willingness to show up matter more than you know.

Birth partners, what's one thing you wish you'd known before being in the delivery room? Share it in the comments! And tag someone who needs these tips before their baby's big debut.

Welcome Baby M! 🌿

One minute, Mom was chatting and laughing. Then transition arrived, and this little guy made his entrance in ONE push!

The power of a second-time mama is something special. She had walked this road before, and when the moment came, she rose to meet it.

Birth doesn't always give us time to catch our breath — sometimes it moves from conversation to baby in arms in what feels like seconds!

Mama, your strength was incredible, and your story is a beautiful reminder of just how much women are capable of.

Welcome earthside, sweet boy. You certainly knew how to make an entrance!

Labor can be intense, but there are so many ways to help you work through contractions and find comfort along the way.

Here are a few comfort measures you can practice before birth so you have some tools to reach for when labor begins.

Breathing: Slow, steady breathing can help you stay focused, release tension, and take labor one contraction at a time.

Massage and counterpressure: Hip squeezes, back massage, and firm pressure on your lower back can provide relief, especially during back labor.

Movement and position changes: Walking, swaying, leaning forward, or getting on your hands and knees can help you find comfortable positions and support baby's movement through the pelvis.

Warm compresses: Heat on your lower back or other areas of discomfort can help ease tension and provide comfort.

Visualization and affirmations: Focusing on a calming image or repeating a phrase that feels meaningful to you can help you stay grounded and present.

Water therapy: A warm shower or bath can help relax your muscles and make contractions feel more manageable, when appropriate for your birth setting.

Every labor is different, and what works for one person may not work for another. You may find that you love the shower in early labor but want counterpressure during transition. That's okay! You can change things up as your needs change.

This is one of the things I help my clients prepare for during our prenatal visits. We talk through comfort measures, practice different positions, and help your partner learn ways to support you, too.

Choosing where to give birth is an important part of your birth journey. Whether you’re considering a home birth, birth center, or hospital, the right choice is the one that aligns with your needs, preferences, and individual circumstances.

Home births offer the comfort of familiar surroundings, birth centers provide a more home-like setting with trained professionals, and hospitals offer access to additional medical resources if needed.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to birth. Take the time to explore your options, ask questions, and talk openly with your care provider about what matters most to you. Consider your health, your preferences, the care available at each location, and where you feel safest and most supported.

Remember, this is your birth. You deserve to feel informed, confident, and supported in whatever setting you choose.

Not sure where to start? Let’s talk about your options. As your doula, I’m here to help you ask the right questions, explore your preferences, and feel confident in your decisions. You deserve to be an active participant in your birth, not just a passenger.

Welcome Baby R!

A little earlier than expected, but right on time for the people who were waiting to love him most.

Sometimes babies remind us that their arrival doesn't always follow the timeline we imagined. And even when the plan shifts, there is still so much strength, love, and beauty in the way a family finds its way to that first hello.

Mama, you showed up for your baby in your own powerful way, and your journey deserves to be celebrated.

Sweet boy, you were worth the wait. Welcome to your family and to a world already made better by your presence.

Birth planning isn’t about controlling every detail of your birth. It’s about learning your options, discovering what matters most to you, and feeling confident in your choices.

✨ Start early and gather information.
✨ Communicate openly with your birth team.
✨ Stay flexible and remember that your preferences matter, even when plans change.

Your birth plan is a tool for informed decision-making, not a script you have to follow. Birth can be unpredictable, but you deserve to feel heard, supported, and empowered every step of the way.

And that’s where a doula can make such a difference. ❤️

What’s one thing you want to feel during your birth?
