LMT OR 28420 CMT CA 96328 I'm Rachel Sever (she/her), Licensed Massage Therapist (OR) and Certified Massage Therapist (CA). I'm a polyvagal-informed Somatic Integrationist with a certificate from Pacific Center for Awareness and Bodywork in Hawaii in Awareness-Oriented Structural Integration, and trained in NeuroAffective Touch. I specialize in somatic integration: awareness-based, deep connective tissue (fascia) bodywork, with safely held-space for exploration of mind-body-heart connections, supporting increased embodied awareness and nervous system regulation. In addition to English, I speak German and French, and can understand basic Spanish. I have a BA degree in 'Deconstructing the Status Quo' from an integrative studies community program (Johnston Center, University of Redlands) and previously worked for six years in social services in the field of mental health with adults and kids. I have incorporated holistic perspectives into Heart Embodied Massage for 12+ years to support the healing, empowerment, wisdom, and full potential I believe is inherent in each person. www.heartembodied.com

What people say about my work:
"I took part in 10 Sessions that Rachel offers and I can’t feel more thankful. During these 10 Sessions I learned how to listen more to my body, my emotions. I learned to be more at peace with myself and respect myself more. I learned how our bodies adopt postures and habits that affect our daily lives--and the best part is that we can train our postures, we can improve ourselves! I learned that things can be as complicated or as easy as we want them to be. Thinking is not always the best way to follow--sometimes it's better just to feel more and let ourselves feel, let ourselves just BE. Rachel is a very attentive, careful and loving professional. The atmosphere where the massages are done can't be more warm, peaceful and inviting. Rachel listens and respects. She doesn't tell you what you should or shouldn't do. She gives suggestions, but mostly keeps you company on your own path of discovery. . I absolutely recommend this therapy to anybody wanting to discover themselves in a new way and direction!” -Sandra
"Receiving a massage from Rachel felt like a blessing to me. She softly supported me through her gentle yet solid touch. While allowing myself to take a dive into my bodyscapes, I could travel to places that needed attention or that wanted to be heard in new ways. At a certain moment, an extract of my poem 'Dancing Backwards' came into mind: 'There, I discover what has always lived inside of me: a smile, no, one billion smiles, shedding light on every cell of my body.' At the end of the massage, I could truly feel every cell of my body smiling at my own gorgeous self and at the world around me." -Caroline S'Jegers--Poet, Coach, Leader of Dance and Self-Expression Journeys (Antwerp & the World) www.carolinesjegers.com
"During the session I went into the deepest state of relaxation I had ever experienced as she quite skillfully addressed several issues in a gentle and attentive manner. Her presence exudes calmness and peace and I left the massage table completely transformed! The pain I had in my hip and lower back had been there for several years and after my session it was not only gone, but hasn't returned nearly 7 months later! I highly recommend her to anyone!” –Cristina (San Francisco)
"The atmosphere, the massage and the visualization aspects were incredibly relaxing and at the same time attuned me to what was going on both in my body and mind. It was a visceral journey into my body that revealed both surprising and valuable insights about my self. Can definitely recommend it!" -Joy (Berlin)
"My experience with Rachel was wonderful. She takes the time to get to know each of her client's individual needs. She talks to you throughout the massage to see how you're feeling emotionally and physically. This was truly the best massage I've ever had!" - Jennifer (California)
"During a session Rachel offers her deepest, most loving presence and holds a space both soothing and healing in and of itself. Couple that with her skillful hands patiently unwinding your body and you are in for a real treat.” -Padraic (Kauai)
"My experience with Rachel was nothing short of amazing. Her massage style is truly unique, unlike any other massage I have ever received. Cleansing for my mind, body, and soul. I felt the stress and exhaustion that was buried deep in body move through, then out of my body. Thank you for your personal approach, you are a gifted healer." -Rebecca (California)
"Thanks for a wonderful massage last month - I felt like I'd been put back in my own body!" -Julie (Berlin)

All the heaviness of the world, of these times of collapse and breaking- open and the Destruction-Overculture flailing to hold to its power-over, it's power to dehumanize and dominate and destroy. The heaviness in our hearts... let it keep guiding us through grief to solidarity, to power-with, to rage as love, as re-imagining together.

We gather in virtual circle - you are welcome to join from any place - to grieve and to honor our still-feeling hearts, by sitting with grief (and all its forms) together through embodied practice.

All participation is always consent-based and respectful of your autonomy, and you're welcome to come as you are, with whatever you're feeling, in whatever capacity you have, to participate in whatever ways are right for you on that day.

This grief circle is donation-based to taise mutual aid funds for friends in Gaza and to support the work of The Grief House. Register via The Grief House website (tap the QR code).

There is so much suffering in the world right now. Bearing witness to genocides, ecocides, and racial and gender-based violence and repression lands in us as massive sorrow, guilt, rage, heaviness, danger and soul wound. All while trying to survive within the same systems that disconnect us from ourselves, from each other, and from the earth, and limit our possibilities of being.

We gather to grieve the constant violations of so much life, dignity, and possibility under the violent systems of the overculture; and to honor our still-feeling hearts, by sitting with it together through embodied practice. We gather to honor the humanity and dignity of lives lost, and the sacredness of a world that is burning. And we let the grief continue to metabolize in order to not be submerged in it, to nourish our hearts’ continued capacity for empathy (especially when we are surrounded by so much systemic and individual gaslighting of basic reality).

We'll arrive in the space together with an embodiment practice and community agreements, then enter time for sharing and listening to each other, and close with a small integration practice. All participation is always consent based and respectful of your autonomy, and you’re welcome to come as you are, with whatever you’re feeling, in whatever capacity you have, to participate in whatever ways are right for you on that day.

This grief circle is donation-based to fundraise for friends in Gaza and to support the work of The Grief House. Register via The Grief House website for in person and virtual gatherings.

Donation drive for Warm Springs' continued fire recovery needs: Healing herbs for smoke exposure. Drop dry herbs or tinctures at Clary Sage Herbarium, we'll get them to the Warm Springs Community. See slide 2 for some helpful respitory support herbs and Warm Springs Herb Drive details.
..Smoke from the Bench, Austin, Grashopper, and Rowe Creek Fires has CONTINUED to be a problem on the Warm Springs Reservation in past weeks.

The first round of donations reached the community a few weeks ago, and community members, including elders, appreciated the effectiveness of the teas and tinctures from the last herb drive, and have requested more herbal support for continued recovery, and to reach more community members. Let's keep it going!

This is a mutual aid effort, please share this post (or spread the word offline!).

So much incredible and diverse beauty in the busy back and forth around the state these last weeks. Different tones of landscape beauty nature here (from gathering fireweed seeds to offer to freshly burned land, to Warm Springs Reservation, river swimming stops on the back and forth, dramatic skies and evening light between the eerie-lighted smokey days). AND the beauty of interactions, even in quick crossing, with so many people giving, whether in donations and/or their time and energy, to support each other and stand with the Indigenous stewards of all this beauty.

These wildfires are a reault of colonialism: the ruptures of relationality within capitalism, the dominance and hiearchy of life within white supremacy culture, the profit and extraction and pollution and control by few with disregard for the collective, and the broken treaties, the outlawed Native forest managment and burn practices. Land Back (restoring sovereignty, honoring all the treaties, stewardship of public lands, guidance and leadership on protecting the earth and restorinh balance) is the ONLY way out of climate disaster.

Beautiful, mutual gratitude and abundance and actual safety that benefits ALL of us is possible when we stand in solidarity with each other, when we recognize that violations of the dignity of anyone is danger to all, when we honor the land and Indigenous millenia-formed wisdom and leadership on restoring balance and relationality.

Let's not let all this beauty be lost.

We've been conditioned to disconnect from our bodies, from each other, from the earth, across generations... Come listen to your body's stories, needs, wisdom, and explore resourcing and reconnecting to embodiment with experienced, compassionate, trauma-informed, systems-aware, liberation-oriented support.

Let's explore. Let's expand possibilities. Of body-heart-mind. Of the personal and collective.

Systems-aware, trauma-informed, with experience and nurturing presence. Let's resource, eelearn, respond, resist, repair, reimagine, rebuild. Listening to what our bones long for beyond this harmful mess. Breath by breath unwinding how it lives in us, and remembering deeper. Step by step embodying it into new reality, together.
