On Friday September 18th at approximately 1900 hours, Post EMS was dispatched to a call out at Lake Alan Henry for a “collapsed cave with entrapment”. A swift response was made, upon arrival it was reported a male individual was entrapped inside the cave. Due to nature of the call and accessibility restrictions, additional resources were requested. A brief time after 2300 hours, the male individual was safely extricated.

We want to extend our gratitude, to the following agencies, without them today’s rescue could not have been successful.

Today, members of the Post Garza County EMS family took time to honor and remember the lives lost and changed forever on September 11, 2001.

Some climbed. Some walked. Some stood in remembrance. But each of them carried the same purpose: to never forget.

We are proud of our team members who took part in today’s 9/11 memorials and represented our EMS family with honor, respect, and remembrance. 🤍🇺🇸

25 years later, we remember. 🇺🇸

On September 11, 2001, the world changed forever. But in the midst of unimaginable tragedy, countless men and women ran toward the danger—into the smoke, the chaos, and the unknown—to help others.

Today, we honor the EMS providers, firefighters, law enforcement officers, and civilians whose lives were lost that day.

We remember their courage.
We remember their sacrifice.
We remember the families and loved ones left behind.
And we remember the commitment to serve that carried so many through those doors that morning.

25 years later, their names still matter. Their stories still matter. Their sacrifice still matters.

May we never forget, may we always honor their memory.

September is Su***de Prevention Month, a crucial time to recognize the mental health challenges faced by EMS Clinicians.

Clinicians answer the call every single day, often facing high-stress situations, critical incidents, and long hours. Behind every uniform is a person who needs care, compassion, and community support. Prioritizing Clinician wellness and breaking the stigma around seeking help is essential to saving lives.

If you or a colleague are struggling, you do not have to carry the weight alone. Confidential, 24/7 support is available:
