We were honored to return to New York State Police Troop G Headquarters in Latham for another skin cancer screening event. Anthony DuShane, PA-C, provided comprehensive skin checks to help promote early detection and skin cancer awareness among our dedicated New York State Troopers.

With increased exposure to the elements, state troopers, police officers, and first responders should prioritize skin protection and routine skin checks. A big thank you to the New York State Trooper Surgeons for their continued partnership and for inviting us to participate.

We're excited to officially announce that Hudson Dermatology is expanding to Saratoga Springs, NY, at the end of October 2026.

As we prepare to open our newest location, we are seeking qualified, dedicated individuals to join our growing team.

We are seeking dedicated Medical Assistants to support our providers in delivering exceptional patient care, as well as friendly, organized Medical Receptionists to assist with patient check-in, appointment scheduling, insurance coordination, administrative tasks, and incoming calls.

Please join us in welcoming Michael Kurek, PA-C, to the Hudson Dermatology team.

A Hudson Valley native, Michael brings a wealth of clinical experience and a passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care to our Kingston office.

Michael earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Marist University in 2018. Before transitioning to dermatology in 2022, he gained valuable experience in emergency medicine and urgent care, developing a strong foundation in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions.

Today, Michael specializes in medical and surgical dermatology, caring for patients of all ages. His clinical interests include skin cancer screenings, diagnosing and treating various skin conditions, and the surgical removal of skin growths. He is dedicated to building lasting relationships with his patients and helping them feel confident and informed about their skin health.

Last night, our providers came together for Hudson Dermatology Journal Club.

Continuing education is an important part of providing exceptional patient care, but nights like these are about more than staying current on the latest research and advancements in dermatology. They’re also a chance for our providers to learn from one another, share ideas, and spend time together outside the office.

We had a great day today at the Rockland County Senior Fair!

Dr. Ziv Schwartz spent the day connecting with local seniors, answering questions about skin health, and sharing the importance of regular skin checks and preventive dermatologic care.

As a Rockland County native and one of our Nanuet dermatologists, Dr. Schwartz is proud to care for the community he calls home. Thank you to New York State Senator Bill Weber and everyone who helped bring together such a great community event.

Najia Cheema is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in dermatology, and she’s delighted to welcome patients at our Kingston office.

Najia earned her Master of Medical Science degree from the Yale University Physician Associate Program in 2006 and spent her early career in emergency medicine and urgent care at large academic medical centers in Connecticut and North Carolina, where she developed a broad range of procedural and clinical skills. But what she valued most was connection, the chance to truly know her patients and walk alongside them over time. That calling led her to complete a 12-month Rheumatology fellowship at Duke University in 2020, where she practiced through 2026 and gained deep experience caring for patients with complex autoimmune diseases of the skin and joints. She has trained under a board-certified dermatologist and is a proud member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates.

At the heart of Najia’s practice is a simple belief: every patient deserves to be seen, heard, and cared for as a whole person. She is committed to providing warm, comprehensive dermatologic care to patients of all skin types, and she’s thrilled to bring that care to the Hudson Valley, where she recently settled to be closer to family.
