As a doula, I spend so much time talking about caring for ourselves through pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood—but sometimes we need an actual space to do it. 💗

So I created A Morning for You. 🌸

A cozy morning centered around maternal mental health, self-care, and connection—because you deserve to be cared for, too.

👋🏼 Hi, I’m Rebecca Duffy, owner and doula behind Hazel River Doulas.

I’ve been a doula for over five years, but I’ve been navigating motherhood, family transitions, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with raising a family since 2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣2️⃣

One of the biggest pieces of my work is maternal mental health. 🧠 I believe you deserve support that sees you as a whole person—not just the pregnancy, the birth, or the baby.

My approach isn’t about telling you how you should birth, feed, parent, or recover. It’s about giving you education, options, reassurance, and judgment-free support so you can make decisions that feel right for you and your family. 🏠

Doulas need care, too. 🤍

I spend so much of my time reminding moms that rest is productive, asking for help is okay, and self-care doesn’t have to be earned.

And sometimes… I need to take my own advice. 😅

Self-care doesn’t always mean a spa day or a weekend away. Sometimes it’s a face mask after a long day, sitting in silence for ten minutes, grabbing your favorite coffee, saying no without guilt, or going to bed ridiculously early.

So I want to hear from YOU:

Everyone wants to know how the baby is doing—but who is checking on the parent? 🤍 Ask if they’ve eaten. Ask if they’ve rested. Ask how they’re really feeling—and then stick around long enough to hear the answer.

Pregnancy after loss can hold joy and fear in the very same moment. 🤍 You may celebrate every milestone while still holding your breath for the next one. There is room for the hope, the anxiety, the grief, and the excitement—all of it.

Getting an epidural doesn’t mean you stop needing support. 🤍 There are still positions to try, decisions to navigate, emotions to work through, and a partner who may need guidance too. Pain relief may change your labor—but it doesn’t change the value of continuous support.

We are thankful to be safe and alive. Just last summer we had River’s tragic accident. And now we are left displaced. 2026 is supposed to be my year. This wasn’t part of it. I just have to stay positive and continue at my own pace. Thankful for our immediate support people that helped us with our children, pets and toiletries. We are appreciative of the kindness you’ve shown. Thank you. Please share.
