Social media can be great but it can also be a minefield of misinformation. Some credentials to look out for when looking at posts about child development: PT, DPT, OT, OTR/L, SLP, MD/DO (but an OT or PT is probably more well versed in specific motor development). Too good to gatekeep: Schroth is the STARTING point for managing scoliosis. If you’re just getting into position and breathing, well that’s better than nothing! But if you want to make LASTING changes you’ve got to get your spine aligned and strengthen the muscles there to support it.
