A few things we’ve learned from filming hair content at the salon:

Turn off the salon lights, take videos before photos, and don’t be afraid to guide your client into different poses. We also like to take a few test shots and check the camera roll before wrapping up.

And if you have two phones available, use both. The extra angles always come in handy!
