THE RED BLUFF AKTION CLUB DOES IT AGAIN !!!
The Red Bluff Aktion Club donated an amazing amount of meals, snacks and personal care items to the Los Molinos High School Bulldog Bodega. They worked very hard asking for contributions, gathering many necessary items and then packing everything and delivering them to the Los Molinos High School Bodega. This generous action is part of the club’s ongoing commitment to support local organizations and to help community members who may require a caring and helping hand.
Bodega is a Spanish word for ‘storehouse.’ The Bulldog Bodega will provide food and personal care items to students who may not always have access to the necessities they need when school isn’t in session. “Sometimes something as simple as a cup of ramen, a granola bar, shampoo, toothpaste, or laundry soap can make a BIG difference for a student in our community,” the club said in a statement about the project. “These are our local kids, and we want to make sure they know their community is behind them.”
The Red Bluff Aktion Club is a community service organization that empowers adults with disabilities to develop initiative and leadership skills through volunteerism. Sponsored by Kiwanis International, the club engages in various service projects throughout the year, benefiting local organizations and the broader community.
Located in the Los Molinos High School quad, the Bodega is housed in a small structure donated by one of our teachers and operated by Key Club and FFA. Students in need can shop on Fridays for nonperishable food, laundry soap, toiletries, and other essentials. The Bodega relies on donations to keep its shelves stocked.
The Red Bluff Aktion Club was truly excited to help our local youth and wish to thank everyone who contributed to this worthwhile endeavor!
