🌿 Terpene Tuesday: Meet Myrcene 🌿
The most common terpene in cannabis — and the one responsible for that classic earthy, musky aroma you catch when you open a fresh jar.
Aroma profile:
Earthy • Musky • Herbal • Clove-like warmth • Subtle ripe mango
What people love about it:
Myrcene is most associated with deep body relaxation, physical comfort, and that heavy “couch-lock” feeling. Higher levels (especially above ~0.5%) tend to lean more grounding and sedating, while lower levels can feel more balanced. It’s a big part of why two strains with the same THC can feel completely different.
