🔮 Magic has a way of finding exactly where it’s meant to be… The Beauty Oracle® has found its way to Portland, Oregon! 🌙

The deck is now available at New Renaissance Bookshop in Portland’s beautiful Pearl District — a truly enchanting destination for anyone drawn to books, spirituality, intuition and all things magical.

This expansive, beautifully curated shop is filled with treasures at every turn: wonderful books, tarot and oracle decks, crystals, candles, sound bowls, chimes and so much more. 📚🔮🕯️It’s the kind of place where you can wander for hours, following your intuition and discovering something you never knew you were looking for. 💫

During the visit, Sakura had the wonderful opportunity to chat with Andrew, who has been part of New Renaissance for an incredible 36 years. His connection to the shop and the community is a beautiful reminder of the many people who have passed through those doors over the decades seeking inspiration, wisdom, connection and perhaps a little magic of their own. ❤️

Now, The Beauty Oracle® becomes part of that story.

Deep gratitude to Andrew & New Renaissance Bookshop for opening its doors to The Beauty Oracle®

A deck created to invite reflection, intuition and deeper connection is finding new homes in another magical corner of the Pacific Northwest — one card, one reader and one curious soul at a time. ✨

Portland, may the cards find those who are meant to find them. 🌙🔮

🧼 Your skincare routine doesn’t stop at your skincare products.

You can invest in great products, get regular facials, and cleanse your skin faithfully—but what’s touching your skin every day matters, too. Think about it: your pillowcase, sheets, bath towels, workout clothes, sports bras, phone—and your hands are repeatedly coming into contact with your face, back and chest.

And yes, there’s actual science behind paying attention to these things. 🔬✨

One household study found MRSA on bed linens in 18% of the homes studied and on bathroom hand towels in 15%. Important context: these were households with a child who had a recent or active MRSA infection, so those percentages should not be interpreted as what you'd find in the average home. But the study does demonstrate how bacteria can make their way onto the fabrics and surfaces we use every day.

Another household study found that sharing a bath towel was significantly associated with increased transmission of Staphylococcus aureus—another good reason to keep your towel YOUR towel. 😉
And then there’s sweat.

Sweat itself isn't necessarily the enemy. But sweat + oil + bacteria + friction + tight clothing can create an environment that aggravates acne-prone skin. Dermatologists even have a name for breakouts caused by heat, sweat, pressure and friction: acne mechanica.

A few skin-smart habits I recommend:
🛏 Wash your sheets about once a week.
🌙 Change pillowcases 1–2 times per week—more often if you're oily, acne-prone or use a lot of hair products.
🧺 Don't share bath or face towels.
🫧 Use a fresh face towel/washcloth each time.
🏋️ Change out of sweaty workout clothes ASAP.
🚿 Shower after heavy sweating or exercise.
🌙 Never skip your nighttime cleanse. If you wear makeup and/or sunscreen, I recommend a double cleanse.
📱 Regularly clean your phone and other things that frequently touch your face.
✋ And one of the hardest ones: stop touching and picking your face! Our hands pick up oils, dirt and microbes from everything we touch.

The American Academy of Dermatology recommends gently washing acne-prone skin up to twice daily and after sweating and using a clean towel to gently pat sweat rather than rubbing your skin.

Your skin doesn't live in a bubble. What touches it matters. It is your first defense against disease and infection.

Healthy habits + consistency + good skincare = happier skin. 💕

Join me this Sunday in Covington at Walls Of Books from 12-3pm where I will be sharing my Oracle card deck and doing mini readings.

Stop by our Covington store for a Meet & Greet plus a Mini-Reading with local author Sakura Sutter! Sakura is the creator of The Beauty Oracle Card Deck. She will be available to discuss her work and conduct readings with The Beauty Oracle. Send us a message to reserve your copy for purchase!

Sakura Sutter is a Certified Spiritual Hypnotherapist, Intuitive Medium, Master Esthetician, Author, Reiki Master, and Radio Host. In 2017, her life was forever changed when she nearly died from a rare autoimmune disorder, Pemphigus Vulgaris. That experience ignited her deep healing journey, where she embraced the mind-body-spirit connection, learned to love the parts of herself she had long suppressed, and committed to living unapologetically. Today, Sakura dedicates her life to guiding others on their own paths of self-discovery and authentic living.

From this same journey arose The Beauty Oracle® Card Deck—a powerful tool for self-healing, Divine remembrance, and embodied wisdom. Born from the ashes of her life-threatening illness, the deck is infused with over 22 years of experience in beauty and skin care, woven together with her profound path of spiritual awakening.

There’s no need to arrive with a specific question—sometimes the most helpful guidance is what comes through when we simply allow ourselves to receive.

A heartfelt thank-you to Vino Bella and Claude, the owner, for hosting this warm and welcoming gathering 🍷✨
