Measure H renews the hospital partnership that began in 2011 through a new 20-year agreement with Reedley Community Hospital, an Adventist Health affiliate. The proposed agreement requires no new taxes, bonds, or assessments on District residents. Sierra Kings Health Care District remains the property owner, and its elected Board oversees the agreement.
The proposed lease includes written commitments to a 24/7 emergency department, labor and delivery, inpatient medical and surgical care, imaging and laboratory services, and rural primary care for Medi-Cal patients. Proposed annual base rent is $1.3 million, plus an amount tied to District seismic capital expenditures, with annual inflation adjustments. Rent revenue supports community health work, grants, oversight, and reserves for future capital needs.
