Real confidence isn’t believing you’re better than everyone else.

It’s knowing another woman’s beauty, success, or happiness doesn’t take anything away from your own.

It’s being able to celebrate her without comparing yourself to her.

It’s admitting you’re wrong without questioning your worth.

And it’s knowing you can be imperfect and still be worthy of love.

When you stop treating your worth like something you have to prove, you finally have room to live.

That’s the kind of freedom I’m after.

At some point, you have to decide that being liked by everyone is no longer the goal.

You can be kind without being a doormat.
You can have boundaries without being mean.
You can disappoint someone without being a bad person.

And you can love people without making yourself smaller so they feel bigger.

I’m no longer interested in being everyone’s cup of tea. I’m interested in being able to look in the mirror and recognize the woman looking back at me.

I’m not willing to be too little for myself just to be enough for everyone else.

Sometimes, the people who knew the old you struggle the most with the woman you’re becoming.

They remember when you never said no.
When you questioned yourself.
When you made everyone else comfortable at your own expense.

But now you have boundaries. You speak up. You trust yourself.

And suddenly, you’ve changed.

Of course you have. You’re supposed to.

You don’t owe anyone permanent access to a version of you that you’ve worked so hard to outgrow.

Let yourself grow. Let them adjust.

Can we talk about how many of us were taught to be our own worst critics?

We learned to point out our flaws before anyone else could.

To make jokes about ourselves so nobody could accuse us of taking ourselves too seriously.

To downplay our accomplishments.
To dismiss compliments.
To say “I’m not that good” even when we damn well know we are.

We learned to make ourselves smaller in a thousand little ways.

And somewhere along the way, we started believing that was humility.

But what if we stopped?

What if we let ourselves be proud of the things we’ve worked hard for?

What if we accepted a compliment without immediately arguing against it?

What if we looked in the mirror and saw a woman we genuinely liked instead of a never-ending list of things to fix?

What if we stopped treating self-acceptance like something we have to earn by becoming thinner, prettier, more successful, more agreeable, or more useful to everyone around us?

What if we were allowed to be a whole, imperfect, beautiful work in progress and still think highly of ourselves?

I’m not talking about believing we’re better than anyone else.

I’m talking about finally giving ourselves the same grace, compassion, and kindness we hand out so freely to the people we love.

Because here’s the thing…

You don’t have to hate yourself into becoming a better version of yourself.

You can grow from a place of love, too.

You can acknowledge where you want to improve without tearing yourself apart over who you are today.

You can be a good human, have flaws, make mistakes, keep learning, AND genuinely like yourself.

All at the same time.

And if nobody has told you lately, you’re allowed to be proud of the woman you’re becoming.

Even if you’re not finished becoming her yet.

People have called me conceited because I post too many selfies.

I’ve had people comment that I have a “really high opinion” of myself.

And honestly? Those comments don’t bother me.

But here’s what does…

Somewhere out there, there’s a woman who is working SO damn hard to learn how to love herself. A woman who is finally starting to see her own worth. Who is learning to take up space, speak kindly to herself, recognize her strengths, and stop shrinking to make everyone else comfortable.

And I wonder how many times women like her hear those same comments and start questioning themselves.

Am I too much?
Do I think too highly of myself?
Should I tone it down?
Should I make myself smaller again?

Let me tell you something.

There is a difference between thinking you’re better than everyone else and finally believing you’re not less than anyone else.

And I have done A LOT of work to get here.

A lot of unlearning. A lot of healing. A lot of confronting the ways I’ve talked to myself, seen myself in pictures, the ways I’ve allowed myself to be treated, and the ways I’ve made myself smaller because I was afraid of being too much.

Learning to love myself wasn’t easy. It wasn’t a switch I flipped one day. It was work. Real, uncomfortable, sometimes heartbreaking work.

So no, I’m not going to apologize for loving the woman I’ve worked so hard to love.

I’m not going to pretend I don’t see my own worth just to make it easier for someone else to be around me.

And I’m certainly not going to confuse humility with self-abandonment. Because me being a whole human being doesn’t take anything away from any other human being.

Maybe we’ve become so accustomed to women criticizing themselves that when a woman genuinely likes herself, we mistake it for arrogance.

Maybe we’re so used to women questioning their worth that we don’t know what to do when one stops.

If you’ve spent your life being told you’re too much, too loud, too confident, too opinionated, or too full of yourself…

Please don’t let those words undo the work you’re doing to come home to yourself.

You can love yourself without believing you’re better than anyone else.

You can be proud of yourself without being conceited.

You can know your worth without needing anyone else’s permission to acknowledge it.

And you can be a work in progress while still loving the person you are today.

Please, whatever you do, don’t make yourself smaller just because someone else is uncomfortable with the space you’re finally allowing yourself to take up.

Sometimes unexpected extra time is the perfect time to get some grounding in.

Like when your husband drops you at the thrift to run an errand, and instead of make one more trip around the store, you choose to soak up some sun and feel the earth beneath you.

I told him not to rush.

These moments before my mobility workshop give me time to sit in the magnitude and in gratitude.

Movement Therapy has been on my heart for so long, and to be here means the world to me.

The people who have entrusted me with their mobility, are my heart.

Thank you.

Yesterday was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when we give ourselves permission to slow down.

I attended my favorite fall retreat and my intention for the day was simple: to be present and to slow down. To step away from the noise, the endless to-do lists, the responsibilities, and the feeling that we always need to be doing something.

And that’s exactly what I found.

Bare feet on the earth. Fresh air on my skin. The simple beauty of being outside with that glorious sunshine that I love so much. The energy of like-minded people gathering together, creating space for connection, grounding, and growth. And breathwork that was powerful, moving, and deeply impactful in ways that are sometimes hard to put into words.

There is something incredibly special about being in a space where you don’t have to explain yourself, where you can show up exactly as the little weirdo that you are, and where you are surrounded by people who understand the value of doing the inner work.

We spend so much of our lives rushing toward the next thing. The next task. The next responsibility. The next certification. The next version of ourselves we think we need to become.

But sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is stop.

To feel the earth beneath our feet.
To notice our breath.
To listen to what our bodies and hearts are trying to tell us.
To connect with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us.

We don’t always need to do more. Sometimes we need to be more present for the life we’re already living.

Yesterday filled my cup in all the ways I didn’t even know I needed. I left feeling grounded, connected, lighter, and reminded that there is so much magic in simplicity.

Barefoot.
Present.
Connected.
Rooted.
Grounded.
🌿

This week may we all find a little more space to slow down, breathe deeply, and remember what it feels like to simply BE.

🌿 A LITTLE MOBILITY WORKSHOP UPDATE! 🌿

Several of you have reached out asking if you can drop in for individual sessions because the full 6 weeks weren’t an option, and I’ve decided to open up drop-in availability! 🎉

Here’s the thing, though…space is limited, and I want to make sure everyone has room to move comfortably and safely. That means I need to keep track of how many people attend each session.

✨ Drop-in spots are available by message only! ✨

If you’re interested in joining us for a session, send me a message, and we’ll figure out what works!

Whether you’re ready to commit to the rest of the workshop or just want to give a class a try, I’d love to have you join us.

Movement doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, it’s about learning to move a little easier, feel a little steadier, and build confidence in the body you’re living in. 💚

📩 Message me to ask about drop-in availability!
