True or false? 🤔

TRUE. Some hormones follow a natural daily rhythm. Testosterone, for example, is typically highest in the morning, which is why the timing of your lab draw can make a real difference in your results.

It's one of those small details that's easy to miss, and one we pay close attention to.

At Priority One, getting your lab work done is simple. We make it easy to get your labs ordered and drawn, and your clinician takes the time to walk you through what your numbers actually mean for you.

Have questions about your labs? Send us a message. We're happy to help. 💛

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a great reminder to be proactive about your health. 🎀

Mammograms remain an essential part of breast health, so if you're due, get it on the calendar. But many types of cancer have no routine screening at all.

That's where the Galleri test comes in. With a single blood draw, it looks for signals shared by more than 50 types of cancer. It's designed to be used alongside, not instead of, screenings like mammograms.

Curious if Galleri is right for you? Our clinicians are happy to talk it through. 💕

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 🎀

This month is a good reminder to check in with yourself and the people you love. Awareness can be as simple as knowing what's recommended for you and making sure it's on the calendar.

A few ways to take a proactive step this month:

✔️ Know your family history, and share it with your clinician
✔️ Ask when you should start or continue routine mammograms
✔️ Get familiar with what's normal for your body, and speak up if something changes
✔️ Keep up with your annual wellness visit and lab work

Screening recommendations can look different depending on your age, history, and personal risk, and that's exactly why the conversation matters.

At Priority One, we make time for these conversations. Our clinician-guided approach includes preventive lab work and advanced screening options like Galleri multi-cancer detection, which is designed to be used alongside, not instead of, recommended screenings like mammograms.

Share this with someone who could use the reminder. 💕

Inflammation gets talked about a lot these days, and for good reason. 🌿

Some inflammation is a normal, healthy part of how your body protects and repairs itself. Think of a scraped knee or sore muscles after a new workout. The conversation gets more interesting when we look at how everyday habits shape how we feel over time.

A few areas worth paying attention to:

😴 Sleep: consistent, quality rest gives your body time to recover
🚶‍♀️ Movement: regular activity you actually enjoy, not just intense workouts
🧘 Stress: how you unwind matters as much as how hard you work
🥗 Balanced nutrition: colorful, whole foods, with fewer heavily processed choices
💧 Hydration: especially important in our dry Northern Nevada climate

None of this has to happen all at once. Small, steady changes tend to be the ones that stick.

At Priority One, we take a whole-person approach to wellness. That means looking at your lifestyle, your lab work, and your goals together, so your plan is built around you.

This is what concierge care is supposed to feel like. 🤍

More time. More conversation. Care that feels personal, because you are a person, not a number.

Curious about concierge care at Priority One? We’d love to tell you more.

You pick up your phone to check one thing.

A text. An email. The weather.

And somehow, 20 minutes later, you’re watching a video about how to properly store an avocado. 🥑

Sound familiar?

A recent TODAY 30-day attention-span challenge starts somewhere surprisingly simple: notice what distracts you. Our phones are often within reach all day, which makes checking them almost automatic.

Instead of trying to suddenly become a person with superhuman focus, experiment with adding a little space between you and the distraction.

Put your phone in another room while you finish something.
Silence nonessential notifications for a few hours.
Choose a time to check instead of responding to every buzz.
Give one task your attention before moving to the next.

You don't have to overhaul your relationship with technology overnight.

Sometimes improving a wellness habit starts by simply noticing the habit you already have.

Today's experiment: Put your phone somewhere you can't see it for 30 minutes and do one thing without it.

Then you can come back and find out what happened to the avocado. 😉

For years, creatine has had a reputation: big tubs, gym bags and people who know exactly how much their dumbbells weigh. 💪

But creatine is actually a naturally occurring compound that plays a role in how our cells rapidly replenish energy and that system isn't limited to skeletal muscle. The brain uses the phosphocreatine energy system, too.

That’s one reason researchers are taking a closer look at creatine beyond athletic performance.

Recent research has explored its potential relationship with areas such as memory, attention and information processing. Some findings are promising, particularly around memory, but the science on cognitive benefits is still developing and results aren't consistent across every area studied.

Translation? Creatine has officially outgrown the “just for bodybuilders” conversation, but that doesn't mean every headline about it is settled science.

If you're curious whether creatine belongs in your wellness routine, that's a good conversation to have with your clinician. Personalized guidance matters more than whatever supplement is currently having its moment online.

September is basically January… with better weather. 🍂

If you suddenly feel like reorganizing your schedule, getting back into a routine, eating a little more intentionally, or finally handling the wellness things you put off all summer, you’re not imagining it.

Researchers call it the “fresh start effect.” New seasons and other calendar milestones can give us a natural mental starting point for making changes.

But here’s the part we like:

Your fall reset does not need to become a complete life overhaul.

Pick a few things that actually fit your life.

Drink the water.
Make the appointment.
Get back to the meals that make sense for you.
Move your body.
Ask the questions you’ve been meaning to ask.
Check in on the numbers you haven’t checked in a while.

Small, repeatable habits may not make for the most dramatic “new season, new me” montage…but they’re a much more realistic way to build a wellness routine.

Consider this your permission slip to have a quiet fall reset.

No reinvention required. Just a good time to check in with yourself and decide what deserves a little more attention this season.
