We don’t just want to see you when you’re sick. 💙

We want to talk about your blood pressure before it becomes hypertension. Your blood sugar before it becomes diabetes. Your cholesterol before it contributes to heart disease.

We want to talk about your sleep, stress, nutrition, hormones, and the little changes that can make a BIG difference in your long-term health.

Because healthcare shouldn’t just be about treating disease. It should be about preventing it whenever possible.

At Balance Primary Care, we believe the best time to take care of your health is BEFORE something goes wrong.

Prevention is powerful. And your health deserves more than sick visits. 💙

Today, we wear pink for two very special reasons! 🩷

First, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month , but also to celebrate our sweet medical assistant, Jade, during Medical Assistants Recognition Week!

Pink just happens to be her favorite color, so today, we’re wearing it for her, too! 💕

Jade brings so much kindness, compassion, and joy to Balance Primary Care, and we are incredibly thankful for the love and care she pours into our patients and our team every single day.

We love and appreciate you, Jade! 🩷

Health insurance premiums are at an all-time high, but here’s something worth thinking about…

Somewhere along the way, we’ve allowed insurance to become involved in aspects of healthcare that don’t necessarily require insurance. Routine primary care is one of them.

Think about your car. You carry insurance to protect yourself financially in the event of an accident or major unexpected expense. But you don’t file an insurance claim every time you fill up your gas tank, change your oil, or have routine maintenance performed.

Why don’t we think about primary care the same way?

Primary care is maintenance. It’s prevention. It’s managing chronic conditions, identifying problems early, and keeping you healthy.

What if we approached healthcare differently?

Consider pairing a high-deductible health insurance plan designed to protect against major medical expenses with a Direct Primary Care membership that covers your everyday primary care needs.

Your insurance provides financial protection for major medical expenses, hospitalizations, surgeries, and specialty care, while your DPC membership provides consistent access to your primary care provider without the traditional copays or per-visit charges.

At Balance Primary Care, we absolutely encourage patients to maintain health insurance. But we also believe that accessing routine healthcare shouldn’t have to involve insurance claims, complicated billing, or barriers between you and your provider.

Insurance should help protect you from the unexpected. Primary care should help prevent the preventable.

Maybe it’s time we rethink how we’re paying for healthcare.

Up to 80% of strokes may be preventable. Many of the biggest risk factors are ones we can identify and manage—high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, smoking, physical inactivity, and atrial fibrillation.

Prevention starts before symptoms do. Know your numbers, understand your individual risk, and keep up with routine preventive care.

And remember: stroke symptoms are an emergency. B.E. F.A.S.T. and call 911 immediately if warning signs develop.

Prevention matters. Recognition matters. Time matters.

🚨 When it comes to a stroke, EVERY SECOND COUNTS! 🧠❤️

Would you recognize the warning signs of a stroke in yourself or someone you love?

Remember BE FAST! ⏱️

⚖️ B – Balance: Sudden loss of balance or coordination

👀 E – Eyes: Sudden vision changes or loss of vision

😊 F – Face: Facial drooping or uneven smile

💪 A – Arms: Weakness or numbness in one arm

🗣️ S – Speech: Slurred speech or difficulty speaking

⏰ T – Time: Call 911 immediately!

A stroke can happen without warning, and recognizing the symptoms early can make a life-changing difference.

Don’t wait. Don’t second-guess. BE FAST! Even if symptoms disappear, seek emergency care immediately.

At Balance Primary Care, we believe education and prevention are powerful tools in protecting your health. 💙

🍂 Fall is the perfect time to check in on your health! 🩺

When was the last time you reviewed your preventive care?

From annual physicals and routine labs to cancer screenings and heart health, staying proactive can make all the difference. 💙

But here’s the thing… preventive care isn’t one-size-fits-all!

Not everyone needs the same screenings or testing at the same time. Your age, family history, medical history, and individual risk factors all play a role in creating the right plan for YOU.

At Balance Primary Care, we believe in looking at the whole picture, not just checking boxes.

✨ Prevention is powerful. Early detection matters. And personalized care makes a difference.

Let’s make sure you’re not just feeling well today, but taking steps to protect your health for years to come.

💙 One Priority. Your Health.

🎀 October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Breast cancer awareness is about more than wearing pink—it’s about education, screening, knowing your risk, and early detection.

According to the CDC:
🎀 288,494 women were diagnosed with breast cancer in the U.S. in 2023.
🎀 43,402 women died from breast cancer in 2024.
🎀 About 2 out of every 3 breast cancers are diagnosed while still localized, before the cancer has spread outside the breast.
🎀 Overall 5-year relative survival is approximately 92%, and outcomes are significantly better when breast cancer is detected early. (CDC)

Mammograms can detect breast cancer before a lump can be felt or symptoms develop. (CDC)

This month, we encourage you to know your family history, understand your individual risk, know your breast density, and talk with your healthcare provider about the screening schedule that is right for you.

Early detection matters. Prevention is powerful. 💗

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month—so let’s talk mammograms.

A mammogram is more than just a screening. It’s an important tool for early detection and for better understanding your individual breast cancer risk.

But screening doesn’t always stop there. Knowing your breast density, family history, and overall risk factors matters. For some women, additional imaging or more frequent screening may be recommended.

Early detection saves lives. Know your risk. Know your breast density. And most importantly—don’t put off your mammogram. 💗

Prevention is powerful.
