Day 1 of the Capital One Envision Summit is complete.

A full afternoon of connecting with businesses, organizations, and other entrepreneurs. It's my 2nd year attending this two-day event.

I was so busy mingling and sharing details about CALMFIRMATIONS®️ | Affirmation Coloring that I didn't take as many pics or video as intended... but that's a good thing. 😉

Because I was in the moment!

Companies can't know what you have to offer if they don't know you exist. Making new business connections (and building upon those professional relationships) is key for growth.

It's one thing to read an affirmation. It's another to write it down. And yet another to color it... one letter at a time.

There's something impactful about slowing down and giving a supportive thought your full attention.

That's part of why we create our CALMFIRMATIONS affirmation coloring journals the way we do.

What if networking felt a little less like networking?

No standing around making awkward small talk.
No pressure to give a perfect pitch.
No need to be “on” for two hours.

This month's CALMFIRMATIONS Color & Connect theme is Female Entrepreneurship.

Sit down, pick up a marker, take a deep breath, and get to know other women entrepreneurs through relaxed conversation and thoughtful reflection.

We’ll color while talking about some of the real parts of building a business, including confidence, balance, growth, pressure, and the wins we sometimes forget to celebrate.

Come as you are. Bring a beverage or favorite snack if you’d like. I’ll provide coloring materials, light refreshments, conversation prompts, and space to slow down for a while.

And yes, you also get to take your artwork home as a reminder that you've got this!

Women entrepreneurs, this one is for you 🎯

Running a business can be exciting, rewarding, stressful, and exhausting, sometimes all in the same week (or even the same day!).

Color & Connect is a chance to step away from business mode for a couple of hours and enjoy something a little different.

Join me for the first CALMFIRMATIONS: Color & Connect, Female Entrepreneurs event on Thursday, October 22nd from 6–8 PM.

We’ll introduce ourselves and our businesses, color, connect, and talk through selected reflection prompts inspired by CALMFIRMATIONS: Female Entrepreneurs.

There’ll be soft music, light refreshments, meaningful conversation, and space to simply slow down and enjoy being around other women who understand what it takes to build something of their own.

This is not a seminar or traditional networking event.
It’s a more relaxed way to connect and an intentional way to pause and unwind while coloring however comes naturally to you.

Hello October! 🍂 It's National Women's Small Business Month, a time to celebrate the incredible women creating their own paths, one decision, one invoice, and many, many late nights.

Monday again. Before the to-do list takes over, let's start with an often-needed reminder:

You are allowed to move through today at a pace that still feels right for you. Progress doesn't have to be at warp speed to count.

Take thirty seconds before you open your inbox. Breathe deeply in through your nose. Breathe fully out through your mouth. Then begin.

Try to take 10-minute breaks from your cell phone today. Start with 5 minutes if needed. Ringer off. Face-down. Resist the urge to check it. Take note of how that makes you feel.
