This October marks National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and the 2026 theme says it well: "Celebrating Value and Talent."

At Mobility Trust, we see that value and talent up close every day. We also see what stands between a qualified candidate and a good job: a vehicle that can't accommodate a wheelchair, a home that makes getting ready for work harder than it needs to be, equipment that should be standard but isn't covered.

Accessible vehicles, home modifications, and assistive technology financing are the infrastructure of employment for millions of Americans with disabilities. When transportation stops being a barrier, opportunity starts being real.

We're proud to stand with the workers, entrepreneurs, and professionals with disabilities who strengthen every industry they're part of. This month and every month.

"I still remember the mix of heartbreak and fear on my teachers’ faces as we were pulled out of math class early on September 11, 2001. We were still in the dark, but would soon learn that the world had been forever changed.

25 years later, as I walk the streets of New York City, I’m constantly reminded of how deeply that day is woven into the fabric of this city: its history, its people, and its memory.

Each year, the Tribute in Light rises above the city to honor the 2,977 souls lost that day. Never forgotten 🤍🕊️"

Thank you for the beautiful tribute.

Today, we remember and honor all those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and hold in our hearts everyone whose lives were forever changed by that day.

On September 2, the United Nations General Assembly adopted its first resolution specifically dedicated to access to assistive technology—recognizing its importance to independence, inclusion, education, employment, and economic participation.

For Mobility Trust, the resolution reinforces the principle behind our work: making assistive technology available isn't enough. We also have to make it financially accessible.

From wheelchair-accessible vehicles and mobility equipment to home modifications, access to the right technology can change what's possible in someone's everyday life.

We're proud to be part of the effort to turn access into opportunity.

July is Disability Pride Month. This month celebrates the contributions of the disability community while recognizing disability as a natural and valuable part of human diversity.

At Mobility Trust, Disability Pride Month is a reminder of why we do what we do. Every day, we work to expand access to the financing people need for wheelchair accessible vehicles, home modifications, and other accessibility solutions that help increase independence and opportunity.

We're proud to serve a community that continues to break barriers, challenge assumptions, and redefine what's possible.

Happy Disability Pride Month!

Healing can take many forms — and for some veterans, it starts on a surfboard.

Programs like Operation Surf and Warrior Surf Foundation are helping veterans rediscover purpose, connection, and confidence through the power of surfing.

Beyond the waves, these programs build community, improve mental health, and remind veterans they are not alone in their journey.

Stories like these are a powerful reminder that accessibility, recreation, and community-based support can transform lives.

Thank you to the organizations creating spaces where veterans can heal, reconnect, and thrive — one wave at a time.🏄
