Happy Birthday William "Bootsy" Collins

Born October 26, 1951 (age 75 years), Cincinnati, Ohio, United States
William Earl “Bootsy” Collins is a legendary American bass guitarist, singer, songwriter, and producer who stands as one of the most influential innovators in funk music history. Known for his driving basslines, humorous alter-egos like “Bootzilla”, and flashily eccentric star-shaped sunglasses and “Space Bass” guitars, Collins revolutionized the sonic landscape of R&B, funk, and hip-hop. In 1997, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a core member of Parliament-Funkadelic 😎
