Bon Air Botanicals Community Herbalist & Registered Yoga Teacher. Founder Bon Air Botanicals Apothecary. Spreader of Kindness & Healing. Hi, my name is Norah Hazelgrove.

Maker of Plant Medicine. 🌿

MSED, RYT500, Certified Community Herbalist I started Bon Air Botanicals as a way to share the many benefits of plant medicine with my community. My hope is that it will contribute to restoring our connection to the earth and to each other, to the ancient wisdom of plants, and to the healing practices that so many of our ancestors embraced. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Pittsburgh, then a Master of Science in Education from Old Dominion University. Following 14 years as an educator in the public and private school systems, I spent the last two decades studying health and wellness, first as a yoga enthusiast, then as a teacher. I learned under the wise mentorship of Angela Phillips with Angela Phillips Yoga in Virginia Beach, VA among others like master yoga practitioner and writer Doug Swenson as well as Kathleen Barratt of Barratt Breath Institute. Those years taught me so much about the ability of the body and the breath to naturally heal itself and I was fascinated by the combination of asana, pranayama, and ayurvedic medicine as a holistic path to health and wellness. Around 2020 I was drawn to the outdoors, as I think many were during the early days of Covid. I began spending countless hours out in nature, walking, gardening, I built an herb garden, purchased greenhouse and started learning about how to produce my own food medicine. Something intuitive new that my connection to nature and the earth was the way to maintain my health, both physically and mentally. In 2025 I was called to study herbalism as a way to deepen my knowledge about the many medicinal benefits of plants. At the same time I was studying astrology and the energetic impact of star and planet placement and transitions on our health and wellness. While that continues to fascinate me and I'm sure at some point I'll dive into that as well, I chose to focus my studies on herbalism. This brought me in touch with Ashley Elenbaas at Sky House Herb School. I enrolled in a year long apprenticeship on the Foundations of Herbalism and earned a certificate as a Community Herbalist. To further deepen my knowledge and expertise on herbal medicine, I'm thrilled to be enrolled in a 10 month apprenticeship with Rosemary Gladstar, the "godmother of modern herbalism" called the Science and Art of Herbalism. I am so grateful for the path that has led me here, the many lessons, both hard and soft, that have guided me and inspired me. My mission is to continue to share what I learn with my community, near and far. Thank you for supporting my work. May we be at peace
May our hearts remain open
May we awaken to the light of our true nature
May we be healed
May we be a source of healing for others
May we be one with the breath of the Divine

Making herbal medicine is a slow, deliberate process. The antithesis of what social media teaches us.

Come learn the science and art of slowing down. Upcoming workshops up there in my bio ☝️

Tinctures are one of the most potent and shelf-stable ways to work with medicinal plants, and they're far simpler to make than most people expect.

In this focused afternoon intensive, we'll cover both the folk method and weight-to-volume ratios.

We'll make two tinctures together in the studio (both to take home) and you'll leave with a formulation booklet, a list of trusted herb sources, and the confidence to make your own herbal medicine from home.

All supplies included.

The healing of our shared collective is in the slow, deliberate, sometimes painful process of caring for each other.

Of sitting with and seeing ourselves in each other. In all our fragility, all our power, all our crinkles and cracks, and all our beauty.

And staying there. Without judgement. Without abandoning. With an open heart 💚

Mind map of Mullein (Verbascum thapsus) by Katia LeMone of

Learning plant medicine is intrinsically intuitive, not linear. It's network-based, associative, cross-disciplinary, adaptive, based on patterns and driven by innovation and creativity. It reflects nature in its rawest form.

The Gastrointestinal (GI) Tract runs from your salivary gland all the way to your a**s and is responsible for hundreds of different functions in your body.

If your gut health is off, it can lead to a host of other problems including blood pressure, weight, and cholesterol issues, fatigue, brain fog, bloating, and more.

Getting educated on your gut and how it functions is essential if you want to 1) have any autonomy over your health and 2) make any substantial changes to your health and well-being.

Herbs can help.

The last in my signature blend series...to tuck you in at night.

Safe Harbor

Drop anchor for the night.

When the day won't let go, Safe Harbor gives you a quiet place to land. Passionflower, the native maypop long used by the Cherokee and other Southeastern nations, has been a traditional evening herb in North America for generations. It's joined by skullcap, a treasured herb of early American herbalists, which helps a busy mind drift toward rest. Catnip, a colonial household favorite, and chamomile, steeped since ancient times, bring a soft, meadowy calm that eases the body into evening. It's gentle, grassy and lightly minty: a cup to sip as the lights go down.

Ingredients: passionflower, skullcap, catnip, chamomile

To brew: Steep 1–2 tablespoons in a cup of just-boiled water, covered, for 10 minutes. Enjoy 30–60 minutes before bed. A drizzle of honey is lovely here.

Not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. May cause drowsiness. Do not combine with sleep aids, sedatives or alcohol without guidance from a healthcare provider. Avoid if allergic to plants in the daisy family.
