Kingsville: Now is a great time to support a community pillar in need! And of course, you can find our microgreens there too! Come shop for meats and other local goods 🎉
I write this with a heavy heart, because we are unsure of what the future holds for Beef & Bones Meat Market. We assumed naively that the most difficult times were behind us, but we were wrong, they are upon us now.
We have been the victim of an elaborate scam targeting meat markets. The scammers were able to take advantage of the times where beef prices are high, and customer confidence in the market is low. We fell victim to misplaced trust and a hope for a brighter future for the store. We won’t be able to provide anymore details surrounding this, as it’s an active investigation.
The amount of money stolen from us feels enormous, we are a small family business and we may not be able to overcome it.
We have always valued our employees and our customers most, both of which may suffer if we are unable to weather this storm, and for that we are sorry.
The purpose of this post isn’t to garner sympathy, but to ask for prayers and to consider making your next meat purchase from Beef & Bones Meat Market. Those seem to be the only things that might help from closing our doors.
Thank you - Williams family
