Help us keep the treats flowing 🍬 🍫 🍭!!!

Roanoke Resource is collecting candy donations for Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 31, from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. in the back parking lot of the Kirk YMCA.

We’re getting ready for little ghosts, goblins, and a whole lot of sweet🦷🦷!!

Thanks for helping make Halloween a little sweeter!!!

A huge thank you to the Scrap Collective for welcoming our Roanoke Resource PSR participants and giving them the opportunity to get involved, get creative, and contribute!

Our participants were able to be part of an outdoor art project, help prep for upcoming indoor projects, and lend a hand around the shop. Experiences like these provide opportunities to create, connect, contribute, and be part of the community.

Community partnerships matter!
Opportunities like this can make a real difference for individuals in programs like our Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) program.

Thank you, Scrap Collective, for opening your doors and including our participants. We truly appreciate the partnership!

"Teamwork makes the dream work" is our motto at Roanoke Resource, and we put
it into practice at our recent team building event!

Teams built spaghetti towers strong enough to hold a marshmallow, with bragging rights going to the tallest tower.

We painted rocks to place around the community, hoping to bring a little joy and resource information to
whoever finds them.

We also had a lot of fun guessing which coworker shared each mystery fact....and learned some surprising things about one another!

We wrapped up by learning more about Spravato treatment and its potential
benefits.

It was a great day of teamwork, creativity, and connection.

Grateful to have been a part of the 2nd Annual VCOM-VDH Symposium: “A Culture of Health: Connecting Medicine, Communities, and Action” today at VCOM-Virginia.

It is especially meaningful to participate as a community partner in research focused on dementia care—work that has the potential to strengthen how we support individuals, families, caregivers, and communities across Virginia.

I’m thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with people who are committed to turning research into real-world change. There is so much value in bringing medicine, education, public health, and community organizations to the same table. 💜

Excited for where this work will lead and grateful to have a part in helping shape the future of dementia care.
