I have zero interest in pretending we don’t age.
We do.
Bodies change. Hormones change. Recovery changes. Our needs change.
But there’s a difference between understanding aging and using aging as an explanation for every symptom someone experiences.
That’s where I think we need more curiosity.
If someone tells me, “I just don’t feel like myself anymore,” I want to know what changed.
When did it start?
How are you sleeping?
What’s happening with muscle and body composition?
What do your labs show?
What are your hormones doing?
How are you eating and moving?
What’s happening in your actual LIFE?
Sometimes there’s something to treat. Sometimes there isn’t. Sometimes the answer is medical, sometimes lifestyle, and very often it’s a combination.
But “well, you’re getting older” shouldn't be the end of the conversation.
What changed first for you as you got older?
