Please join us in welcoming Luxue Deng, MD to our Gynecologic Oncology team at RGH! 👋

Dr. Deng is a fellowship-trained gynecologic oncologist specializing in comprehensive cancer care for patients with uterine, ovarian, cervical, vulvar, and vaginal cancers, as well as gestational trophoblastic disease. She is dedicated to helping patients and their support systems navigate every step of their cancer journey with compassion and confidence.

She offers expertise in:

Thank you to everyone who joined the 2026 American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Presented by Rochester Regional Health. It was a beautiful morning that brought together survivors, thrivers, caregivers, families, and supporters - all united in the fight against breast cancer.

When you spend your career caring for others, it's easy to push your own health aside. 🩺

Eileen Arnau, a nurse and RRH employee since 2005, knows that feeling all too well. After years of caring for her husband and two children, she realized it was time to prioritize herself again.

That's when a routine mammogram led to an unexpected diagnosis: HER2+ breast cancer.

"I was very shocked," Eileen said. "It's a very foreboding feeling."

After meeting with Dr. Kelly Krupa and Dr. Vatsala Kirtani, Eileen began a treatment plan that included chemotherapy, a bilateral mastectomy, and breast reconstruction with Dr. Mandy Flor. Throughout her care at Lipson Cancer Institute and the RRH Breast Center, she was supported by a team that included many of the nursing students she had once taught.

"I can't even put into words what it was like," Eileen said. "I'm glad that I taught them well enough to keep me alive."

Today, Eileen is cancer-free and focused on healing, creating memories with her children, and embracing the next chapter of her life.

Her message to others is simple: Don't wait. Make time for your health. And remember, life is meant to be enjoyed, not endured. 💗

Dr. Benson is an OB-GYN specializing in high-risk pregnancy, obstetric complications, gynecologic surgery, family planning, reproductive health, and preventive women's care.

When she's with her patients, Dr. Benson wants to understand who they are, what matters most to them, and how she can best support them. Through active listening and personalized, evidence-based care, she strives to help every patient feel heard, informed, and supported. 🩺

She is also passionate about creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions, sharing concerns, and partnering in their care.

Outside of the office, you'll find her planning events and decorating, mentoring students and aspiring professionals, and playing volleyball and tennis. 🎾

Welcome to our newest OB-GYN, Dr. Cassie Simpson, now accepting new patients at The Women's Center at RGH! 🌟

Dr. Simpson provides comprehensive women's health care, including prenatal and obstetric care, contraception counseling, menopause care, evaluation and treatment of menstrual disorders, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and preventive care such as cervical and breast cancer screenings.

She's thrilled to be returning to her home state to care for the people and communities that shaped her. Dr. Simpson considers it an honor to support patients through every stage of life with compassionate, personalized care. She's committed to creating a welcoming environment where each person feels heard, informed, and empowered.
