Clients may arrive in therapy saying:
“I don’t recognize my body anymore.” “My medication has changed everything.” “S*x is painful.”
“I’m embarrassed to bring this up with my doctor.”
Therapists do not need to have every answer—but you do need enough foundational knowledge to ask better questions, offer informed support, and know when a medical referral or collaboration is needed.
That is the purpose of S*xual Anatomy and Physiology Across Genders, a live ISTI training on October 7, 2026 that I'm delighted to be presenting along with Andres Larios Brown LMFT. We’ll cover s*xual development; desire, arousal, and or**sm; common s*xual-function concerns; the s*xual effects of medical conditions, medications, surgeries, cancer treatment, pelvic pain, and reproductive transitions; and affirming work with trans, nonbinary, and inters*x clients.
For clinicians building a more confident, inclusive s*x-therapy and couples-therapy practice, I’d love to have you there.
Live online via Zoom | 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. ET
