Halloween was a blast in Rockmart!

The Patriot EMS team had a fantastic time at Jefferson's Trunk or Treat! We decked out our ambulance with some spooky decorations, stocked up on candy, and got into the Halloween spirit!

We loved seeing all the creative costumes, smiling faces, and families who stopped by to visit!

A big thank you to Jefferson's for hosting such a fun event and bringing our community together!

We love any opportunity to get out, have some fun, and spend time with the wonderful community we serve.

A transport to Jacksonville this weekend was one that had been hard to place.

Long distance is not something every agency offers. A trip like this takes a vehicle and crew sized to the patient, timing that works at both ends, and a plan for everything in between. Getting all of those pieces to line up is the hard part.

Our team put it together and got the patient there.

This is work we do regularly, and we want to do more of it. A transport that has been hard to place is the kind we would like to hear about.

P22 made it to the South Carolina coast this week.

A trip like that is most of a day each way. The part people picture is the delivery, getting the patient to the receiving facility and giving report at the bedside so the team on the other end has everything they need. The part nobody pictures is the drive back. Hours of it, after the work is already done.

We run long distance transport because the alternative is a patient sitting in a bed while everybody tries to work out how to move them. Whether to the state line or to the other side of the country, the answer is yes.

To the crew on this one, thank you. Good work, and a good picture to go with it.

Labor Day is a holiday built for people who work, and a good number of ours are working it.

Crews are out today in West Georgia and Gwinnett. Some moving patients between facilities, because a discharge does not wait for a Monday. Some running mobility transports for people who need to get where they are going regardless of what the calendar says. Dispatch is staffed, same as any other day.

That is not a complaint. It is the job, and everyone here knew that going in. But holidays are when it becomes most visible that somebody has to be out there, and today that is them.

To everybody on a shift right now, thank you. Be safe out there and know you're appreciated.

Transportation is one of the most common reasons a plan of care stalls.

The receiving facility is ready and the bed is held, but the patient is several states away and there is no obvious way to get them there. Air is not always available. Some patients are not flight candidates. Families cannot always cover the cost. And commercial travel is not an option for a patient on a drip, a vent, or continuous monitoring.

So the patient waits, and care that was supposed to continue somewhere better just pauses.

We run long distance transport across the full range of acuity, including cross country.

For an ambulatory patient, that may be a MedVan. For a patient who travels in their chair, an ADA wheelchair van. For a patient who needs clinical care the entire way, a full service ambulance with teams of medics who rotate through the trip so monitoring, medications, and documentation never stop because the trip is long.

The mode should match the patient, not the other way around. A family should not be paying for an ambulance when a wheelchair van does the job, and a patient who needs a paramedic should never be sent in something less.

What that looks like in practice:

A crew that stays with the patient the whole way rather than handing off en route.

Communication with the family and the sending facility during the trip, not just at the end of it.

A real report to the receiving team at the bedside.

If you are working a discharge and the destination is out of state, call us before you rule it out. It is often more doable than people expect.

Patriot EMS is in a good stretch right now, and we wanted to share where things stand.

Our crews are running ambulance and mobility services across West Georgia and Gwinnett County, our event standby division stayed busy through the spring, and the team continues to grow into the new markets we have entered. None of that happens by accident. It happens because the people on this team show up, take the work seriously, and treat every patient and every community we serve like they matter.

We are not the biggest name in this business and we have never tried to be. What we care about is being the most reliable. The kind of provider that facilities, families, and patients can count on without having to think twice. That is the company we are building, one call at a time.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted us with their care and their communities. We do not take it for granted.

What a week!

It started with EMS Week, and we wanted to make sure our team felt it. Two cookouts at headquarters, pizza parties for the crew deployed at MomoCon, and a lot of genuine appreciation for the people who make Patriot what it is. This team works hard and they deserved every bit of it.

Speaking of MomoCon, our eighth consecutive year of medical standby coverage at the Georgia World Congress Center wrapped up this week. Tens of thousands of attendees, a multi-day deployment, and a Patriot team that showed up every single day ready to go. We are proud of the professionalism and dedication every one of our crews brought to that event.

Behind the scenes it was just as busy. Agency license renewal, fleet milestones, and the kind of operational work that keeps a growing company moving forward. P-22 is looking sharp and nearly ready, and we cannot wait to get it out there.

EMS Week. MomoCon. Memorial Day weekend. Not a bad stretch to be Patriot EMS. Thank you to this entire team for everything you do.

This week is EMS Week, and we want to take a moment to say what does not get said enough.

The men and women who work in EMS show up for people on some of the hardest days of their lives. They do it with skill, with patience, and with a level of care that most people never fully see. They load and unload in the heat, they navigate difficult situations with calm, and they treat every patient like that patient is the only one that matters. Then they do it again on the next call.

This is not a job that comes with a lot of fanfare. The work happens quietly, often without recognition, and that is exactly why weeks like this one matter.

To every EMT and everyone that suports that hard work they do: thank you. What you do is real and it matters.
