Each September, Youth Su***de Prevention Awareness Month calls attention to the critical importance of preventing su***de among children and adolescents.

Health care professionals are encouraged to access the Blueprint for Youth Su***de Prevention from the American Academy of Pediatrics. The Blueprint was designed to help identify equitable youth su***de prevention strategies and key partnerships in all settings where youth live, learn, work, and spend time. This resource provides actionable guidance to help health care professionals advance prevention and create safter, more supportive environments for children and adolescents.

The Blueprint for Youth Su***de Prevention serves as an educational resource to help health care providers, health professionals, educators, and others implement strategies to prevent youth su***de in clinical and community settings.
