Your Annual Visit

Your annual visit should do more than tell you whether you’re sick. It should help you understand your health before something feels wrong. 🌿

Preventive primary care is about looking at the bigger picture—not simply checking a box once a year.

It’s an opportunity to look at your blood pressure and cardiovascular risk, metabolic health and family history, age- and risk-appropriate screenings, medications and vaccines—and the things that don’t always show up on a lab report, like sleep, stress, mental health, nutrition and movement.

Because feeling well today is only one part of the conversation.

At Reborn, we believe your annual visit should help answer questions like:
What are my individual risks?

What trends should we be watching?

Are my screenings up to date?

And what can I do now to support my health in the years ahead?

That’s the direction healthcare should be moving: less reactive. More preventive. More personal.

Your history. Your numbers. Your lifestyle. Your goals.

A plan built around you. 🤍

When was the last time you saw your healthcare provider before something was wrong?

For many of us, healthcare becomes reactive: something hurts, a symptom appears, we feel exhausted, or a number finally gets our attention.

But primary care should also make space for the before. 🌿

Before the diagnosis.
Before the symptoms become disruptive.
Before your health gets pushed to the bottom of the list.

A preventive visit is an opportunity to establish your baseline, review your personal and family history, make sure appropriate screenings are on your radar, talk about changes you’ve noticed, and identify priorities for the year ahead.

Because feeling well today doesn’t mean there’s nothing worth discussing.

At Reborn, we’re moving toward a model of care that asks not only “What’s wrong?” but also:
“What can we do now to help you stay well?” 🤍

That’s the difference between simply reacting to health problems and building a relationship with a provider who helps you think ahead.

Fatigue is common. But common doesn’t mean there’s always one obvious explanation—and it doesn’t mean you should simply push through it. 🌿

Sometimes the answer really is a stretch of poor sleep or an especially stressful season. Other times, persistent fatigue deserves a closer look.

Sleep quality. Stress and mental health. Nutrition and iron status. Thyroid or metabolic changes. Medications. Alcohol or other substances. Hormonal transitions. Underlying medical conditions.

Any—or several—can influence how you feel.

That’s why evaluating fatigue shouldn’t automatically mean ordering every lab available.

Good primary care starts with your story: when the fatigue began, what it feels like, what else has changed, your health history, medications, lifestyle, and a thoughtful exam. From there, testing can be guided by what actually makes sense for you.

And if fatigue is severe, persistent, rapidly worsening, or accompanied by concerning symptoms, it deserves timely medical evaluation.

At Reborn, we believe “I’m tired all the time” is the beginning of the conversation—not the end of it.

Some changes happen with age. But “that’s just aging” shouldn’t be the end of the conversation. 🌿

In your 30s, 40s, and 50s, you may notice things that feel different—your energy, sleep, mood, menstrual cycle, weight or body composition, blood pressure, or the way you recover from everyday life.

Some of those changes may be connected to hormonal transitions.

Others may involve sleep, stress, nutrition, thyroid function, iron status, medications, metabolic health, mental health, or another underlying condition.

That’s why good care doesn’t begin with an assumption. It begins with questions.

What changed?
When did it start?
What else is happening?
What does your personal and family history tell us?

And what does your exam—or appropriate testing—add to the picture?

At Reborn, we believe women deserve healthcare that looks at the whole story, especially as their bodies change through different stages of life.

Getting older is normal.
Feeling unheard shouldn’t be. 🤍

Most women know they’re supposed to get preventive screenings.

What’s often missing is someone explaining which screenings matter, when they matter, and why the answer isn’t exactly the same for everyone. 🌿

Preventive care may include conversations about blood pressure, cervical and breast cancer screening, colorectal cancer screening, cholesterol and blood sugar, mental health, vaccines, and more.

But here’s the part that matters: preventive care isn’t a generic checklist.

Your recommendations can change based on your age, personal history, family history, previous results, medications, lifestyle, and individual risk factors. And sometimes the most valuable part of an annual visit isn’t ordering another test—it’s looking at the whole picture and deciding together what actually makes sense for you.

The goal isn’t to search for something wrong.

It’s to establish a baseline, recognize risk earlier, stay current on appropriate screenings, and make a plan for protecting your health before there’s a problem demanding your attention.

At Reborn, that’s the kind of care we believe women deserve: proactive, personalized, and built around the person—not just the checklist.

Health isn’t built in one perfect day. It’s built in the small choices you make again and again. 🌿

There isn’t one “magic” habit that determines your health. Nutrition matters. Movement matters. Sleep matters. Stress matters. Hydration matters. And most importantly, consistency matters.

A balanced breakfast. A walk after dinner. Going to bed a little earlier. Taking five minutes to breathe. Drinking another glass of water. None of these choices have to feel dramatic to make a difference.

At Reborn, we believe lasting health is less about doing everything perfectly and more about creating habits that are realistic, sustainable, and supportive of the life you actually live.

Small steps, repeated consistently, can become meaningful change.

What’s one habit you’re working on right now?

Stress isn’t just something you feel. It’s something your body responds to.

When stress becomes persistent, the body’s stress-response systems remain activated more often than they were designed to. Cortisol and other stress hormones are part of a normal, protective response—but chronic activation can begin to influence multiple systems throughout the body.

It may show up as disrupted sleep. Changes in digestion. Altered appetite and cravings. Difficulty recovering from exercise. Temporary increases in blood pressure. And stress can interact with the hormonal systems that influence mood, metabolism, and reproductive health.

That’s why at Reborn, conversations about stress aren’t separate from conversations about physical health.

We look at the whole picture: sleep, nutrition, movement, hormones, metabolic health, recovery, and emotional well-being. Because treating a lab value without understanding the life and physiology surrounding it can mean missing an important part of the story.

Managing stress doesn’t mean eliminating every stressful thing from your life. It means helping your body build the capacity to recover—from prioritizing sleep and consistent movement to nourishing your body, creating meaningful connection, and recognizing when additional support is needed.

Your mental, emotional, and physical health are connected. Your healthcare should recognize that, too.

Sometimes a reset does not require adding another thing to your routine. It can start by creating a little more space.
Try spending one less hour on your screen each day this week. Use that time to take a walk, read, stretch, prepare for bed, spend time outside, connect with someone you love, or simply give your brain a chance to be quiet.

Constant notifications, scrolling, and stimulation can make it difficult to truly switch off. Being more intentional with screen time can create room for better sleep, more movement, meaningful connection, and the recovery your body needs.

You do not have to disconnect completely. Just give yourself an hour back and notice how you feel.

Sleep affects so much more than whether you feel tired the next day. It is one of the foundations your entire body relies on to function well.

While you sleep, your brain processes information, your hormones regulate, your immune system gets important support, and your body has time to repair and recover. Quality sleep also plays a role in metabolism, energy, stress response, and mood.

When sleep consistently falls short, you may notice it everywhere. Brain fog becomes more common. Energy crashes hit harder. Cravings increase. Your mood feels less predictable, and your body may struggle to recover the way it normally would.

If you have been treating sleep like the first thing to sacrifice when life gets busy, it may be time to make it part of your health plan instead.

At Reborn, we look at the whole picture because better health starts with a strong foundation.

Medicine is changing. And I believe the way we care for people needs to change with it.

For too long, healthcare has often been about waiting until something is wrong, treating a symptom, and moving on. But our patients are asking better questions now.

Why am I feeling this way?
What is changing in my body?
What can I do now to protect my health later?
How do I feel well—not just “not sick”?

Women especially deserve a healthcare experience that recognizes how much our bodies and needs evolve through every stage of life. Hormones, metabolism, stress, sleep, cardiovascular health, bone health, nutrition, mental well-being, longevity—they aren’t separate conversations. They are pieces of the same person.

As providers, our responsibility is evolving too.

We need to listen more closely. Look deeper. Focus on prevention earlier. Use evidence to guide us while still recognizing the individual sitting in front of us. And create care plans built not only around treating disease, but around helping people stay healthy for as long as possible.

That vision is shaping the next chapter of Reborn.

We’re growing. We’re evolving. And we’re building something that goes far beyond where we started—a more comprehensive approach to personalized health, preventative medicine, and care through every stage of life.

Big things are coming to Reborn. 🌿

And I cannot wait to share what’s next.
