🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💕

As a physician, I spend a lot of time reminding my patients to take care of themselves, schedule their screenings, and not put their health on the back burner.

But here's the thing… I'm human, too. I get busy. Life gets chaotic. And sometimes I need to hear my own advice. 💗

So here's my reminder to you AND myself: Make the appointment. Get the mammogram when you're due. Know your family history. Don't ignore changes in your body.

I've learned that being a doctor doesn't make me immune to life's challenges, and taking care of everyone else doesn't mean we should forget ourselves.

I'm wearing my pink ribbon for the fighters, the survivors, the ones we've lost, and everyone whose life has been touched by breast cancer. 🎀

Life is precious. Take care of yourself. You're worth it. 🩷

🍂☀️ A little sunshine, fresh air, and some four-legged entertainment! 🐾😂

Spent last weekend enjoying the beautiful fall weather at Montauk State Park with my cousin's bulldog! 🐶💕

Between the gorgeous scenery, peaceful water, and this adorable chunk of personality, it was the perfect little escape from the everyday chaos. 🍁

Pretty sure the bulldog was the main attraction, though. 😂🐾

Sometimes a little fresh air and puppy love are exactly what the doctor needs! 🩺💙

Today, we remember the little lives that left this world far too soon, but will forever hold a place in someone's heart. 🕊️

For the babies born sleeping.
For the babies who stayed only a little while.
For the pregnancies that ended too soon.
For the parents who never got to say hello, or had to say goodbye far too early. 💔

Your loss matters. Your grief is valid. And your baby will never be forgotten. 🤍

🕯️Tonight at 7 PM, families around the world are invited to light a candle as part of the International Wave of Light, honoring babies gone too soon.
