I’ve had a lot of questions come up lately about microneedling, especially with the amount of conflicting information circulating online.

And listen, I love the TikTok girlies too but when it comes to medical treatments, “I saw a video that said…” isn’t where the conversation should end.

Is deeper always better? No.
Does depth matter? Absolutely.

Microneedling isn’t a one-depth-fits-all treatment. Treatment depth should be selected based on the area being treated, the concern being targeted, the individual’s skin, and the intended treatment outcome.

So I did what I always do when information starts conflicting: I went back to the research.

My newest blog breaks down why depth matters, when deeper treatment may be appropriate, and what published research and medical literature actually tell us about treating concerns like acne scarring and stretch marks.

Because social media is great for discovering things but TikTok University doesn’t quite outrank the medical journals yet.

A little aesthetic nurse humor because sometimes you just have to laugh.

In all seriousness, I have the BEST clients and thankfully, most of these conversations don’t actually happen in my treatment room. A big part of every appointment at MinnGlow is education, so my clients know what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, what to expect, and how to get the most out of their treatment.

There’s no shortage of aesthetic advice on Chat gpt, Google, TikTok, Facebook, and everywhere in between. Some of it is great. Some of it… makes my dang eye twitch.

Ask me the questions. Bring me the TikToks. Tell me what Google said. I’d much rather we talk about it than have you wondering.

An educated client is a good client and luckily, mine keep me pretty spoiled. 🖤

One whole year of MinnGlow. 🖤

September marks ONE YEAR since I opened the doors to MinnGlow Aesthetics, and I wanted this month’s special to be a little full-circle.

When MinnGlow first opened, I introduced Xeomin at $8/unit. So for our anniversary month, I’m bringing it back!

Whether you’re ready for your usual treatment, want to treat a new area, or you’ve been thinking about trying tox for the first time, September is a pretty good time to do it.
