A little spending money for fresh fruits and veggies! 🍎🥕

Kids ages 12 and younger can get $4 in POP Bucks every Saturday at the Umpqua Valley Farmers' Market to pick out their own fruits and vegetables.

Stop by the turquoise Info Booth to get POP Bucks and check out samples and activities.

It's a fun way for kids to explore fresh foods and choose something they'd like to try.

The program runs through Dec. 19.

GREAT NEWS! We've received a grant from Umpqua Health, which means POP Club is continuing through DECEMBER! 🙌

Kids age 12 and under will receive $4 in POP Bucks to purchase their very own fruits and vegetables at the market, every Saturday through December 19th! Bring the family to the big turquoise Info Booth for POP Bucks, tasty samples and fun activities.

Thank you, from the bottoms of our hearts and baskets, to each of our POP Club sponsors for supporting local families and farmers, and for helping kids get excited about healthy foods: Thrive Umpqua, Rogue Credit Union, Food as Medicine, and Umpqua Health.

We're dreaming of offering POP Club year-round. Are you or your organization interested in supporting nutrition programs at UVFM? We'd love to talk to you! Meet us at the Info Booth or drop a line to [email protected]

Managing your healthcare can become more challenging when you are seeing multiple providers.

If you have a primary care provider, specialists or behavioral health providers, keeping track of appointments, referrals and follow-up care can feel overwhelming.

Care coordinators help eligible members navigate their care, connect with services, understand next steps and stay informed throughout the process.

If your healthcare has started to feel difficult to manage, ask your provider whether care coordination is available, or contact Customer Care to learn more.

Taking care of your teeth and gums is an important part of taking care of your overall health.

Research has shown that oral health is connected to overall health, and regular dental visits can help identify problems before they become more serious.

Preventive dental visits are covered through OHP. If you are eligible, completing a qualifying dental exam may also qualify for a $15 Sherm's Thunderbird Market gift card through the Prevention First Incentive Program.

If it has been a while since your last dental visit, contact your dental provider to find out if you are due for an exam.

Ten seasons of DC Cheer! 📣

Congratulations to DC Cheer on 10 seasons and to all the athletes, coaches, families and volunteers who have been part of the journey.

From practices to performances and community parades, there's a lot that goes into each season.

Here's to the next 10! 🎉

There’s a lot that happens before our cheerleaders step into a parade route or onto the sidelines—and sponsors like Umpqua Health help make those moments possible. 📣

As our 10th Anniversary Season winds down, we’re sending Umpqua Health one more heartfelt thank you for supporting DC Cheer. When our team looks back on this year’s memories, we hope you know you helped make them happen! 🖤🤍

As the days get shorter, some people notice changes in their mood, energy or sleep.

If these changes begin to affect your daily life, it is a good idea to talk with your healthcare provider. Getting support early can help you understand what you are experiencing and explore treatment options if needed.

Behavioral health services are covered through OHP. If you are due for a depression screening, completing one may also qualify for a $15 Sherm's Thunderbird Market gift card through the Prevention First Incentive Program.

You do not have to wait until things get worse to ask for help. Support is available.

Behavioral health and substance use services are a key part of Umpqua Health's Community Health Improvement Plan because access to these services is important for the health of our community.

Adapt's Sobering Center Outreach provides a safe, supportive place for people experiencing a substance use crisis. The program helps individuals stabilize and connect with behavioral health services, treatment and other community resources when they are ready.

We are proud to support this work through our Community Health Improvement Plan funding and grateful for Adapt's partnership in strengthening behavioral health services across Douglas County.

When a health concern comes up after hours, it can be hard to know where to go for care.

The 24/7 Nurse Hotline is available to help. A registered nurse can talk with you about your symptoms and help you decide whether you should go to the emergency room, visit urgent care, schedule an appointment with your provider or care for yourself at home.

The Nurse Hotline will not replace emergency care when you need it, but it can help you make an informed decision about where to get care.

You can find the Nurse Hotline number on the back of your Umpqua Health Alliance member ID card.

As fall settles in across Douglas County, we are reminded that good health is supported in many places.

It starts with families making healthy choices at home. It grows through teachers, coaches, caregivers, community organizations, healthcare providers and neighbors who help others every day.

We are grateful for the many partners and community members who work together to support the health and well-being of Douglas County.

Who in your community is making a difference? Tag them in the comments so we can celebrate the people helping keep Douglas County healthy. 👇
