The Dimock Center’s outpatient services will be closed on Monday, October 12, in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Outpatient services will resume on Tuesday, October 13.

We take this day to honor the Massachusett people, the indigenous caretakers of the land on which The Dimock Center stands, and to reflect on their enduring contributions and resilience.

The Dimock Center is now offering flu shots for adults ages 18-64. Our clinic is open to the public, and you can either walk in or call to schedule an appointment.

Investing in children means investing in healthier, stronger communities. 🚲

This week, we were thrilled to welcome a donation of 100 bicycles and helmets from MassMutual and Barnum Financial Group, brought to us through the Barnum Foundation for Life and Red Sox Foundation. Together, these generous partners are helping create new opportunities for children in our community to stay active, build confidence, explore their neighborhoods, and experience the freedom and joy that comes with riding a bike.

We are grateful to our incredible partners for investing in the well-being of local children and helping make experiences like these possible.

This Recovery Month, The Dimock Center honors those we have lost to substance use disorder, celebrates those in recovery, and recognizes the strength, resilience, and humanity of everyone whose life has been touched by addiction. 💜

From Acute Treatment Services (ATS/Detox) and Clinical Stabilization Services (CSS) to dual diagnosis programs like Askia Academy and Ruth Kelley Ummis House for individuals living with both substance use disorder and mental health conditions, Dimock provides a full continuum of care designed to support healing, recovery, and long-term wellness.

Our work doesn't stop there. Through community outreach, Office-Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT), and Outpatient Addiction and Recovery Services (OARS), we connect people with the care, resources, and support they need, wherever they are on their recovery journey.

We believe healing begins with dignity, compassion, and trust. Using a trauma-informed, person-first approach, we meet people where they are and provide care without judgment because everyone deserves the opportunity to heal, and no one should have to recover alone.

This month and every month, we stand with individuals, families, and communities affected by substance use disorder and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that hope, support, and compassionate care are within reach for all.

The Dimock Center’s outpatient services will be closed on Saturday, September 12, for the 12th Annual Road to Wellness 5K Run/2-Mile Walk, and will resume on Monday, September 14.

We’re so excited to welcome our community back to our Roxbury campus for this annual celebration of health, wellness, and connection! Whether you’re walking, running, volunteering, or simply stopping by, there’s a place for you at the Road to Wellness.

Volunteer Barber Needed for Detox Program💈

The Dimock Center is looking for a licensed barber or cosmetologist to provide haircuts to patients in our Acute Treatment Services (ATS or detox) program on a monthly basis.

What you'd do:

Offer basic haircuts and grooming to people in the early stages of addiction recovery while creating a respectful, welcoming, and supportive experience.

What we're looking for:

A current Massachusetts barber or cosmetology license is required. You should be comfortable working with a diverse group of patients and bring a compassionate, patient, and professional approach. We're asking for one visit per month.
