You lose the word you were about to say.

You walk into a room and forget why.

Focus that used to come naturally requires more effort.

Brain fog can have many possible contributors, including sleep disruption, stress, medications, thyroid dysfunction, nutritional deficiencies, metabolic issues and hormonal changes.

In men, low testosterone may be one piece of that larger clinical picture.

That does not mean testosterone is automatically the answer.
It means persistent changes in cognition, motivation, energy or mood deserve proper evaluation instead of being written off as aging.

At Synchronicity Health, TRT begins with clinical assessment and appropriate laboratory testing.

The objective is not to chase a testosterone number.

It is to understand what is contributing to the way you feel.

"I looked into a number of options and did a lot of research on new weight loss techniques before reaching out to Synchronicity. Somer got back to me right away and has been on top of things from that moment on. She worked with specific requests I had for paperwork (work documentation) and has been available whenever I have a question. Weight loss has started to kick in, and I appreciate that she provides thorough guidance on fluids and diet to minimize any side effects (so far, none!)"

The scale says you lost 15 pounds.
Excellent.
But what exactly did you lose?

Body weight can include changes in body fat, muscle mass, water, and other tissue.

That distinction becomes especially important during rapid weight loss.

Lean muscle supports strength, mobility, metabolic health and long-term weight maintenance.

That is why a medically supervised weight-loss program should care about more than the number on the scale.

Protein intake matters.
Resistance training matters.
Overall nutrition matters.
And body composition can provide information that weight alone cannot.

Synchronicity Health uses InBody body composition analysis as part of our weight-management approach so we can evaluate progress beyond pounds lost.

The goal is not simply to become lighter.

The goal is to improve body composition and health.

If your sleep changed after starting Zepbound or increasing your dose, do not automatically assume the medication is the only explanation.

Look at what changed around it.

Are you eating much less during the day?
Eating your largest meal late at night?
Experiencing reflux, nausea or abdominal discomfort?
Drinking more caffeine because your daytime energy changed?
Going to bed hungry?
Taking other medications or supplements that affect sleep?

GLP-1 medications affect the digestive system and appetite, so changes in eating patterns can sometimes create secondary problems that interfere with sleep.

Persistent insomnia deserves evaluation, particularly when it begins after a medication change.

Do not simply tolerate it or start adding sleep supplements without discussing the complete picture with your provider.

Weight loss should improve your health, not create a new collection of problems.

Testosterone is not exclusively a male hormone.

Women produce testosterone too, although in much smaller amounts.

It plays a role in several physiological functions, including sexual function, muscle tissue, bone health and overall well-being.

That becomes especially interesting during midlife because maintaining lean muscle also becomes increasingly important for metabolic health and healthy aging.

Does that mean every woman struggling with energy, body composition or libido needs testosterone?
No.

Those symptoms can have many causes.

But testosterone should not automatically be ignored simply because the patient is female.

A comprehensive hormone evaluation considers symptoms, medical history, laboratory findings and the complete hormonal picture before treatment decisions are made.

At Synchronicity Health, hormone therapy is individualized and medically monitored.

Your clothes fit differently.
Sleep is worse.
Weight is collecting around your middle.
Your energy has changed.
And then someone tells you your labs are “normal.”

Hormone levels do not exist in isolation.

During perimenopause, estrogen and progesterone can fluctuate considerably, which means a single laboratory result does not necessarily explain everything happening in your body.

Symptoms, menstrual changes, medical history, sleep, thyroid function, metabolic health, medications, nutrition, and laboratory findings all matter.

That is why hormone care should not begin with one number on a lab report.

At Synchronicity Health, hormone evaluation looks at the larger clinical picture before determining whether treatment is appropriate.

Your symptoms deserve investigation, not dismissal.
