Backdoor Tattoo Studio The Backdoor Tattoo Studio is Sacramento's oldest Tattoo Studio; opened in 1985 by PJ English. After several years, he sought a change of scenery.

With Backdoor’s variety of styles and talent, you can be sure that you will get what you need to make your mark in the world. Whether its your first tattoo or your twenty-first, Backdoor's artists have the ability to bring your ideas to life. PJ began his career as an apprentice under “Little” Dave Spellman. He hepled open
Santa Ana Tattoo, in Southern California circa 1975, eventually becoming part owner. It was here that he honed his skills to become one of the best in SoCal at the time. So he packed up his machines,inks, imagination, and moved to north to Sacramento, California. In 1985 he opened BackDoor Studio, and began a tradition of quality and commitment to the art.
