Minnesota voters with disabilities have several options for getting assistance and voting privately and independently.

You can:

• Bring someone you choose to help you vote, or ask election judges for assistance.
• Ask election judges for help marking your ballot.
• Use accessible ballot-marking equipment at the polling place.
• Vote from your vehicle using curbside voting if you cannot easily enter the polling place.
• Ask another person to sign for you if you are unable to sign your name.

A person helping you cannot influence your choices or share how you voted. Minnesota polling places are also required by state and federal law to meet accessibility requirements.

During Disability Voting Rights Week, take time to learn about the assistance and accessibility options available to Minnesota voters.
