🚑 Welcome to the Team, Ray!

We’re excited to welcome Ray to Smith EMS as a Sports Medic.

Ray currently works as a Project Manager in the Twin Cities and brings a background in firefighting to the team.

Ray joined Smith EMS because he wanted to stay involved in the EMT field during his spare time and continue doing what he enjoys: helping people when they need it
He’s most looking forward to covering hockey and basketball, while also excited to learn more about the variety of sports Smith EMS supports.

Welcome to the team, Ray!

Cardiac arrest is often called the “silent killer”, and it remains the leading medical cause of death in young athletes.

When cardiac arrest happens, every second matters. For every minute that passes without defibrillation, the chance of survival drops significantly. But when trained medical professionals are on-site and ready to respond, survival outcomes can improve dramatically.

Make sure your sidelines are prepared with professional medical coverage when it matters most.

🚑 Welcome to the Team, Rachel!

We’re excited to welcome Rachel to Smith EMS as a Paramedic.

Rachel currently works as a Paramedic at North Memorial, bringing valuable experience and patient care skills to the events she covers with us.

Rachel joined Smith EMS because she wanted to get out on the field and stay close to the action when she isn’t working in the ambulance.

Her favorite part of the job?

Getting to help people while watching a variety of sports and being ready to respond when athletes need support.

Welcome to the team, Rachel!

With school back in session, September brought an increase in sporting events and medical coverage across Minnesota. Our medics were out supporting athletes at various practices, games, and tournaments throughout the month.

Thank you to all our medics and partners for helping us keep up with a busy start to the school sports season. Onto October! 🏈🎃

Is your venue emergency plan actually ready?

A plan isn’t enough, it needs to be venue-specific, properly rehearsed, and staffed by people who are trained to respond because when an emergency happens, there’s no time to figure it out on the spot.

Make sure your program is prepared before the event starts.
Visit smithems.com and let’s get your coverage right.

Meet the Medic | Ray

Meet Ray, one of our EMTs covering sporting events across Minnesota.

With a background in firefighting, Ray joined Smith EMS to continue working in the EMT field and stay connected to the side of emergency response he enjoys.

When he’s not covering events, Ray enjoys playing soccer, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his daughter. Whether he’s on the field, out riding, or spending time with family, Ray stays busy when he’s off the clock.

We’re proud to have Ray on the Smith EMS team and appreciate the experience and commitment he brings to every event.

Stay tuned as we continue introducing the team behind Smith EMS.
