What's the difference between one MRI and two? 🤔

Your first Full-Body MRI is a snapshot of your health today. It screens for 500+ conditions in about an hour and gives you a detailed baseline.

Your second scan turns that snapshot into a story. Say your first scan found a small 4 mm nodule. A year later, if it hasn't changed, that's reassuring news you and your doctor can act on. If it has grown, you've caught the change early.

Most serious conditions develop over time. Seeing them early gives you more options.

Ever wondered what a Full-Body MRI actually covers? In about 60 minutes, we look from your brain to your organs to your aorta, with no radiation, no contrast, and no downtime. You'll get a clear report on 500+ conditions, plus year-over-year comparisons if you scan annually. Comment "interested" for more info!

Think fatty liver only happens to heavy drinkers? Think again. MASLD affects nearly 1 in 3 adults and is driven by metabolism, genetics, and sugar, often with no warning signs.

Caught early, it's one of the most reversible conditions out there, and an MRI can measure how much fat your liver is holding.

GLP-1s work. But not every pound you lose is fat. 👇

In a major tirzepatide trial, about a quarter of the weight people lost was lean mass. Across GLP-1 studies, that range runs roughly 20–40%.

Some of that is just how weight loss works. The real question is whether you're losing more muscle than you should. Muscle drives your metabolism, your strength, and your long-term healthspan. The risk of losing too much is higher if you're older, not getting enough protein, or not strength training.

A body composition MRI separates fat from muscle and measures visceral fat. Start with a baseline, rescan as you go, and you'll know whether you're losing the weight you actually want to lose.

You can't protect what you can't measure.

Body fat is harmless—most of the time. Hear us break down visceral fat, the fat that is metabolically active, fueling chronic inflammation linked to heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and insulin resistance, and research ties higher levels to poorer brain health.

A bathroom scale can't measure it, but a specialized MRI can, alongside muscle mass, subcutaneous fat and VAT-to-SAT ratio, giving you a real picture of your body instead of a guess. And if you're on a GLP-1, a body composition scan is one of the smartest things you can do. Find out why in the next video.

As of 2026, Alzheimer's is still incurable—but the technology to see your risk decades early has existed for years. The problem is it's often inaccessible and costly. TrueScan is changing that: one of the earliest warning signs shows up in the hippocampus, the seahorse-shaped structure central to memory, which shrinks faster than normal aging in Alzheimer's. Those millimeter changes are hard for the human eye to track, but our FDA-approved NeuroQuant software measures the actual volume of your hippocampus and compares your scan against 100,000+ people matched for age and s*x. Instead of "looks normal," you get a definitive percentile. In early stages, a clear answer can kickstart treatments to slow progression. Follow for more from the field of proactive health.

Heart attack gene? Perfectly healthy people have heart attacks because routine lipid panels miss two of the strongest predictors: Lp(a) and ApoB. Hear us explain ApoB—a structural protein found on every harmful, plaque-causing particle in your blood. It's essentially a particle counter: two people can have the same LDL number but very different ApoB counts and very different risk. When a "normal" LDL hides an elevated ApoB, it's called lipid discordance, and it affects nearly 1 in 2 people. Get your ApoB tested this year, and if it's high, a CCTA heart scan shows the actual plaque instead of guessing.

A perfect calcium score of 0 can hide real heart attack risk. Hear us break down why half of heart attacks in the U.S. happen in people with normal cholesterol. The culprit standard tests miss: Lp(a)—an inherited, LDL-like particle that builds plaque faster and makes clots harder to dissolve. It affects 1 in 5 people, and diet, exercise, and statins often can't move it. Get a genetic Lp(a) screening this year, and if it's high, a CCTA heart scan shows the plaque instead of guessing.

Follow for Part 2 on ApoB.

“TrueScan saved my life.”

That’s what Dr. Toney, a board-certified psychiatrist and neurologist, told us after undergoing a Coronary CT Angiography (CCTA) with HeartFlow AI.

Dr. Toney's scan revealed a significant blockage in one of his main coronary arteries. Something he had no idea was there. Within a week, he had a stent placed and the previously unknown threat was treated, “almost as if nothing had ever happened.”

TrueScan is an advanced imaging center in St. Petersburg focused on proactive screening and early detection. Our services include:
- Full-Body MRI
- Coronary CTA with HeartFlow AI for coronary artery disease screening
- DEXA bone density and body composition
- NeuroQuant analysis for dementia screening
- Diagnostic MRI and CT

We can screen for more than 500 conditions, helping patients identify potential health concerns early, when treatment may be most effective.

Two people can have the same weight, the same BMI, but completely different brains.

Researchers at RSNA 2024 (Raji et al.) looked at adults aged 40–50 and found that higher visceral fat—the fat stored deep around your organs—correlated with elevated amyloid, elevated tau, and hippocampal atrophy. Those are the structural and molecular hallmarks of early Alzheimer's disease, and they can show up as much as 20 years before the first symptom.

What’s special is that the association was specific to visceral fat. Subcutaneous fat—the kind just under the skin—showed no such relationship. Visceral fat drives insulin resistance and systemic inflammation, both of which impair the brain's ability to clear amyloid and regulate tau.

The part that matters most is that BMI/body weight does not capture this risk at all. Only MRI-based body composition could isolate the tissue that actually matters.

Visceral adipose tissue (VAT) measurement is a core output of Perspectum's Body Composition analysis in the TrueScan Executive Scan. A high VAT reading in your 40s or 50s isn't only a cardiovascular signal—it may be a neurological one.

It's measurable. Whenever you’re ready.
