One of Dr. Topp’s favorite pursuits outside of medicine is beekeeping. Through his Doctor’s Orders honey brand, he maintains hives right here on beautiful St. Simons Island, Georgia. The bees produce a distinctive small-batch honey influenced by the island’s native palmettos and coastal marsh flowers, creating a flavor that reflects the unique character of Georgia’s Golden Isles.

Another great surgery day! 🩺✨

In the X-ray, you can see a PLIF (Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion) procedure. This type of surgery is designed to help stabilize the spine, restore disc height, relieve pressure on compressed nerves, and reduce pain caused by conditions such as degenerative disc disease, spinal instability, or nerve compression.

By removing the damaged disc and placing an interbody implant, the goal is to restore stability, improve alignment, and help patients return to living with less pain and better function. 💙
