Mikki Trowbridge Yoga Yoga adventures, events, inspirations and teachings - both on and off the mat! http://www.MikkiYoga.com

An Oregon yoga and SUP yoga teacher and creator of Yoga + Beer pairings, Mikki Trowbridge aspires to both inform and inspire. She is known for her anatomically informed and soulfully inspired yoga classes that promise to be a little nerdy, but always fun, flowing (often a little sweaty) and accompanied by phenomenal playlists. Her style creates space for yogis to be challenged and to grow their practice, but also to find ease, confidence, laughter and yogi friends. And as an inversion and arm balance addict herself, you can always expect to spend some part of class with Mikki at least considering the idea of going upside down. Mikki has been teaching in Salem, Oregon for over 6 years with studio classes at Indigo Wellness Center and Yoga Studio, along with private classes at Oregon State Hospital and a variety of local gyms, businesses and organizations. She also hosts regular Yoga + Beer events at Oregon breweries and offers StandUp Paddle Board Yoga classes in Pacific City, Oregon during the summer months.

Day 4. Valley of the Kings. Forever the fulfillment of my childhood nerdiness. Saw three new to me tombs today - and just was so giddy about it. While the lesser known tombs might not be as fancy as the popular ones - you often get them to yourself which is pretty special. Many highlights in my stories.

Then off to Hatshepsut Temple and Medinet Habou. And ended with more yoga by the Nile. Pretty rad day. Off to Aswan tomorrow!

Day 3. Early morning flight to Luxor with visits to Karnak and Luxor Temples. I can never get enough of these two sites. Pictures really don’t do them justice. Details and highlights in my stories.

Ended the day with a sunset practice on the banks of the Nile River. What a dream.

Day 2! Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and FINALLY the Grand Egyptian Museum.

It was supposed to be open when I was here in 2021. And then it was supposed to be open for our 2024 retreat. After all of that, finally got to wander through what’s being touted as the world’s largest museum. And it was incredible. I’m not sure even a week would have been enough time - but we dipped our toes in this afternoon 🤓

Off to Luxor tomorrow! More highlights in my stories.

We have arrived, and our Egypt Retreat has kicked off with our first day. We started by arriving and presencing on our mats, before heading off to the Dahshur pyramids which predate the famous pyramids, and can be thought of as the experiments that allowed the perfection of the process, that then was used to build the a pyramids of Giza.

The group journeyed down deep into the burial chambers of both pyramids 🥵 to get a look at the inside of a pyramid. Super cool.

Then off to a local farm for a farm-to-table meal of typical Egyptian foods, a bread making demonstration, and a look into local life.

We are all so excited to be here ❤️🙏🏼

I’m excited to launch a new series this fall that dives deep into some of my favorite arm balancing postures. Many of you have been asking for this - and here it is ❤️

Each session will focus on one particular arm balance - beginning with an intentionally sequenced flow, and followed by a workshop-style breakdown and invitation to creatively explore.

Honoring that there is often more to be learned from these postures as we work towards them than there is once we arrive, these sessions will explore ways for all bodies to find familiarity with the mobility, stability, effort, and actions asked for by each shape. My goal is that everyone leaves with a version of the shape that they can integrate into their practice to continue building confidence and strength.

We kick it off with bakasana/crow pose on November 21st at Resonance Yoga Collective.

Join us for one or all of the sessions. I look forward to flying together ✈️

The sunset on another summer of Yoga + B**r® last night. What an honor to be in this community with each of you and to share these moments. I’m already looking forward to next summer 🥰

Until then, we move indoors and get cozy in breweries, wineries and anywhere that has space to share. I’ll be back to the Y+B schedule, heavily jet lagged, but happy to see you, on Wednesday, November 4th at Eola Hills W**e Cellars & Legacy Vineyard ❤️

Our next Yoga + Seva + Safari trip to KENYA is officially open for registration. My absolute favorite place on earth. I’m beyond excited and honored to be hosting a fourth retreat in Kenya, and returning for my seventh trip. Just look at all these memories we’ve created together over the years ❤️ I would love to have you join us!

Join us in February 2028 for 10 nights and 11 days of exploring the beauty, culture, and communities of mainland and coastal Kenya.

We begin with a safari at Lake Nakuru before heading west to Mbita, on the shores of Lake Victoria, where we’ll spend time with and support our community partners of more than 20 years. Their work is rooted in expanding educational opportunities, supporting youth, developing small businesses, and increaseing access to clean water, housing and healthcare.

From there, we’ll travel to the Kenyan coast and the island paradise of Lamu for a few days of beach vibes, dhow sails, fresh seafood, and relaxation. We’ll also spend time learning from and supporting our community partners Shela Women’s Association and Ubunifu.

And of course, yoga is woven throughout our time together, grounding our travel in mindfulness, connection, and intention.

Full highlights in my story. And link to details and registration is in my bio. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions 🙏🏼

When less is more. What a gift to step away from the daily doing for an opportunity to linger in stillness, rest, and the subtleties of life, connection, and practice.

Returned yesterday from an incredibly beautiful week spent with our SmartFlow community in Montana at Feathered Pipe. What a treat of a retreat ❤️

From morning meditations at the stupa,
dropping into subtleties with Annie,
finding rest and ease with Britni Serou
connecting with fellow yogis and sharing our hearts,
watching the aspens quake from a hammock,
reading books while floating on a paddleboard,
receiving the beautiful energy of Feathered Pipe
hiking in the Helena forest,
and soaking it all in.

Annie, thank you for always being an inspiration of how to create and hold space for students, fellow humans, and ourselves. Your steadiness and guidance is a gift to so many, myself included.

Brittni, thank you for being you, and for sharing your knowledge of restoratives - that was exactly the exploration I needed in this season. I will carry your sweet care & compassion with me in my restorative teachings.

Feathered Pipe and Diana Q Bowers, thank you for the absolutely beautiful space you create and share. It’s truly magic.

May the gifts and blessings we receive, be a blessing to all beings, everywhere. 🙏🏼
