Okay, did you just drop your shoulders? 😂
Neck and shoulder tension is something I see all the time in my practice.

Maybe you’re constantly stretching your neck, rubbing your shoulders, or dealing with headaches that seem to start with muscle tension.

There can be several contributing factors, including stress, repetitive movements, muscle strain, and jaw clenching.

Acupuncture may help manage certain types of neck pain and associated muscle tension.
If this is something you deal with regularly, let’s address it.

Yes, this is my face immediately after microneedling. 😂 A little pink, but otherwise pretty uneventful.

I use microneedling as part of my own skincare routine because I want to take care of my skin as it changes with age. I’m not interested in looking like a different person — I want my skin to look healthy, smooth and like mine.

That’s what I want for my patients too. You can want to improve things about your skin without wanting to change the way you look. The goal is still to look like you — just with really good skin.

If microneedling is something you’ve been curious about, you can book a treatment or a complimentary 15-minute consultation through the link in my bio.

Sometimes the thing you booked the appointment for is only part of the picture.

Your sleep changed. Your period is different. Your digestion is off. You’re exhausted. You’ve started getting headaches.

You might not think any of that has anything to do with why you came in — but I want to know about it.
You don’t have to figure out what’s connected or what’s important before you get here. Tell me what’s been going on. That part is my job.

If you’ve been thinking about coming in, you can book an appointment or a complimentary 15-minute consultation through the link in my bio.

I was 33 years old in this photo.

Twelve years later, in my mid-40s, I’m still dancing. Not just taking the occasional class, but rehearsing, performing, strength training, and continuing to ask more of my body.

And I truly believe that investing in my health over the years is a big part of what has allowed me to keep doing the things I love.

We often think about investing in our homes, our careers, our education, or our future. But our health is what allows us to actually enjoy all of those things.

For me, caring for my health means I can still dance. For someone else, it might mean traveling, playing with their kids or grandkids, hiking, creating, working, or simply having the energy to enjoy their life.

That’s why I don’t see acupuncture and Chinese medicine as simply paying for a treatment. You’re investing in how you feel today, but also in the version of yourself who wants to keep doing the things you love for years to come.

We don’t have control over everything that happens with our health. But choosing to care for ourselves and give our bodies support is an investment that can impact every other part of our lives.

Your health is worth investing in. Not just for today, but for the life you still want to live. 💜

Recently, a patient came into my clinic and said, “I think I’m about to have a diverticulitis flare.”

She was feeling hot and having significant abdominal pain, but what I remember most was the fear. She started crying as she thought about what a flare could mean for her life and her already busy schedule.

I told her that if her symptoms worsened, she needed to seek medical care. Then we treated what was happening in that moment.

After her treatment, she went home and rested. By that evening, she told me she was feeling back to normal. The flare she had been so afraid was coming never developed.

I felt so grateful that I was able to help her in that moment—when she was scared, in pain, and worried about how much her life was about to be disrupted.

Moments like that remind me how grateful I am to do this work. 💜

Flow is literally in the name of my practice, and it’s one of the things I find most fascinating about Chinese medicine.

When things are flowing freely, we tend to feel better. But when something gets stuck, it can show up in so many different ways.

Pain and tight muscles. Headaches. Jaw tension. Painful periods. Digestive issues. Irritability. Feeling emotionally stuck.

In Chinese medicine, we use acupuncture and other tools to help restore the movement of Qi and Blood throughout the body. Sometimes that means relaxing a muscle that has been holding tension. Sometimes it means supporting a menstrual cycle that has become painful or irregular. Sometimes it means helping digestion move and function more comfortably. And sometimes, as I’ve witnessed in my own treatment room, physical release opens the door for an emotional one too.

I love that flow can look so different for every person.
Sometimes getting unstuck is physical. Sometimes it’s emotional. And often, it’s both.

One of the biggest patterns I’ve noticed over the years is how long people wait before asking for help.

So many patients come to me after months—or even years—of living with pain, poor sleep, digestive issues, stress, or hormone changes because they thought it would eventually get better or they simply put everyone else’s needs ahead of their own.

Then, after a few treatments, I’ll often hear:
“I wish I had done this sooner.”

I hear that all the time.

It’s one of the reasons I love what I do. Not because I have all the answers, but because I get to support people as they start feeling like themselves again and realize they don’t have to just push through.

I’m so grateful to every patient who has trusted me over the years. Watching people prioritize their health is one of the most rewarding parts of this work. 💜

One of the simplest things I tell my patients is this:

Your symptoms are information.

Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain, digestive issues, hormone changes, headaches, anxiety, poor sleep, or jaw tension, your body isn’t working against you. It’s trying to communicate that something is out of balance.

One of the things I love most about Chinese medicine is that we don’t just ask, “How do we get rid of this symptom?” We ask, “Why is it happening in the first place?”

When we understand the bigger picture, we can create a treatment plan that supports the body in finding balance again.

Your body has a story to tell, and you don’t have to figure it out alone. If you’re ready to take the next step, visit the link in my bio to schedule an appointment or a complimentary 15-minute consultation. 💜

One thing I believe with my whole heart is that we all have the capacity to heal, grow, and find our way back to ourselves.

Life has a way of pulling us in a hundred different directions. Stress, illness, loss, burnout, and major life transitions can leave us feeling disconnected from who we are.

One of the greatest gifts of Chinese medicine is that it reminds us the body is always communicating. Rather than fighting our symptoms, we can become curious about what they’re trying to tell us and support the body as it finds balance again.

To me, healing isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about reconnecting with the version of yourself that has always been there.

That belief guides every treatment, every conversation, and every recommendation I make in the clinic. 💜
