When fertility care works together. 🤍
It was such a pleasure having my friend and colleague Dr. Jamie Stanhiser of RMA San Diego spend some time with us at Bloom, and this time, experience acupuncture from the patient’s side of the table.
One of the things I appreciate so much about Dr. Stanhiser is how genuinely compassionate and curious she is about the different ways we can support patients through fertility treatment. She cares deeply not only about outcomes, but about what her patients experience along the way.
IVF can be overwhelming, and having a team of providers who communicate, collaborate, and understand one another’s roles can make the experience feel a little less daunting.
As an integrative fertility acupuncturist, I’ve had the privilege of supporting patients through treatment with reproductive endocrinologists and fertility clinics throughout San Diego for more than 20 years. It’s only strengthened my view that acupuncture is one piece of a much larger fertility care team, and I’m always grateful for physicians who value that kind of collaborative approach.
Thank you, Dr. Stanhiser, for coming in, asking thoughtful questions, being willing to experience acupuncture yourself, and for the care you bring to your patients every day.
It means the world to work alongside physicians who are so invested in both the science of fertility treatment and their patients going through it.
We loved having you at Bloom. 🤍
And for anyone going through IVF, acupuncture doesn’t have to be another intimidating part of the process. Our goal is quite the opposite: to give you a place to exhale, feel supported, and care for your body throughout treatment.
There is some really great research on acupuncture alongside IVF, and I’ve included a few of those findings in the reel.
In addition, I recently wrote a blog article on the topic. Link is in the bio.
