Day 2 at CGI: big conversations about investing in maternal health, a movie about an alien postpartum village, and 20 seconds to tell President Clinton about MilkWise. 🤯🤍

Alex started the day at a women’s health investment roundtable, talking about where funding can make a real impact in maternal health and why insurance reimbursement has to be part of the conversation.
Because building better care is only half the battle. Moms have to actually be able to access it.

Then came Moonbaby. 🌝

At a storytelling workshop, Alex and her table dreamed up a hypothetical movie about a mom who gives birth in space without support, only to be rescued by an alien village that surrounds her and her baby with care.

Silly? Absolutely. But the idea underneath it felt very familiar around here:

✨Mothers were never meant to do this alone.✨

And to end the week on a pretty surreal full-circle moment, Alex attended a CGI alumni celebration, where President Clinton remembered her from her former CGI days and she got a few seconds to tell him about what she’s building now with MilkWise.

We came to New York to advocate for moms. We’re leaving with new relationships, bigger ideas, and even more conviction that better postpartum care is possible.

Now let’s get back to building it.
