A headache can be more than just head pain. The timing, frequency, associated symptoms, and other health patterns can provide useful context when you're trying to better understand what you're experiencing.
With the Evidation app, you can connect the health data you're already tracking. Evidation analyzes the data you choose to share and provides personalized, content-based insights that can help you learn more about patterns in your health.
Tracking isn't a substitute for medical care, especially for new, severe, or recurring headaches, but having a clearer picture of your health over time can help inform your next steps and conversations with your healthcare provider.

Headaches can feel similar, but they are not all caused by the same thing.
Tension headaches often feel like steady pressure or tightness and may be linked to stress, posture, or muscle tension. Cluster headaches are less common but can be extremely intense and often occur in recurring patterns. Sinus headaches are associated with sinus inflammation, although some headaches that feel like sinus pressure may actually be migraines.
Migraines can also vary. Some people experience aura before a migraine, while others do not. Chronic migraine involves frequent headache days and can significantly affect daily life.
Understanding the type and pattern of your headaches can help you have more informed conversations with your healthcare provider.

Your immune system can adapt based on what it has encountered before.
When the body is exposed to certain pathogens or vaccines, immune cells recognize specific antigens and mount a response. Afterward, some B cells and T cells remain as memory cells.
If the same antigen appears again, these memory cells can recognize it and help launch a faster, more targeted response. This process is known as immunological memory and is an important part of how adaptive immunity works.
Think of the process as recognition, response, memory, and faster recognition the next time around.

What you feel and what researchers can measure inside the body don't always line up perfectly.
Someone may experience fatigue, pain, digestive changes, or other symptoms even when certain biomarkers appear stable. In other cases, biological changes may be measurable before a person notices a significant difference in how they feel.
That's one reason health research looks at more than one type of information. Biomarkers and measures of inflammation can provide biological context, while patient-reported symptoms help researchers understand what a condition actually feels like in everyday life.
Looking at these different signals together can help researchers build a more complete picture of health, disease progression, and individual experiences.

Inflammation often gets a bad reputation, but it's actually an essential part of the body's immune response.
Acute inflammation is short-term and protective. It helps your body respond to an injury or infection and typically resolves as the threat is addressed and healing occurs.
Chronic inflammation is different. It persists over time, keeping inflammatory pathways active even when there may no longer be an immediate threat. Over time, this sustained immune activity can contribute to tissue stress and damage.
The difference isn't simply "good inflammation" versus "bad inflammation." Duration, purpose, and immune regulation all matter.

Fatigue is one of the most common and challenging symptoms reported by people living with autoimmune diseases. For many, it affects much more than energy levels, it can influence daily activities, work performance, social interactions, and overall quality of life.
Researchers increasingly recognize fatigue as an important part of autoimmune disease, rather than simply a side effect of being sick. In some cases, fatigue may continue even when other symptoms appear to be well managed.
As research continues to evolve, understanding and measuring fatigue remains an important step toward improving care and quality of life for people living with autoimmune conditions.

Glucose absorption is the process of moving glucose from your digestive tract into your bloodstream, where it becomes available for energy.
How quickly glucose is absorbed can vary based on several factors, including the type of carbohydrates you eat, how much fiber your meal contains, whether you eat protein or fat alongside carbohydrates, your physical activity level, and individual metabolic differences.
Understanding how these factors work together can help you learn more about your body's metabolic health and how it responds to everyday habits.
