Mental Health Awareness Month always lands at this paper with the same question: what words are people calling themselves that don't actually describe what's going on?

"Too sensitive." "Lazy." "Anxious." "Too much." "Broken." We see the same labels come back year after year - and they almost never match the actual pattern underneath.

Most people keep using them because they're the closest thing available. The word doesn't fit, but the alternative is having no word at all, which feels worse. So the label stays.

Then one day you say it out loud to someone, and you hear yourself say it, and you think: that's not actually what's going on.

What's a word you've been using for yourself this year that you're starting to doubt? And if you could rename one piece of it first - what would the new word be?
