Jess, kept strength training 3–4 times a week through multiple rounds of really tough chemo - and in her words, it “helped her get through treatment both physically and mentally.” We’re so inspired by of her, and grateful she let us share her story.
“Take it easy” used to be the advice during cancer treatment. Now, oncology guidelines recommend aerobic and strength training during treatment (ASCO, Ligibel et al., JCO 2022). Trials in women with breast cancer show it can help strength and fatigue (Courneya et al., JCO 2007; Schmidt et al., Int J Cancer 2015).
Every plan during treatment should be cleared with your care team. If you or someone you love wants support, we work alongside them.
