Pacific Islander Health Partnership, founded in 2003, is a 501(c) (3) exempt organization serving the Pacific Islander communities to reduce health disparities and promotes living in good health and well being. Pacific Islander Health Partnership’s mission is to serve indigenous Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders to educate, advocate, train leaders and build community capacity for health for islanders to reduce health disparities in cancer, diabetes, heart disease, obesity and other chronic illnesses with special programs for island seniors and youth.
*We also provide services to those outside of the Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islander communities.

This means that clinical research on diseases such as psoriatic arthritis (PsA) often lacks specific information on how these diseases, their symptoms, and treatments affect AANHPI communities specifically.

More representation in clinical studies can help improve research and healthcare outcomes.

It’s easy for mothers to put their own needs last, especially when so much attention is focused on caring for a new baby.

But your health matters, too.

Resting, eating regularly, staying hydrated, moving your body when you’re able, and making time to recharge are all ways to care for yourself during pregnancy and postpartum.

You don’t have to be constantly doing something to be a good mother. Give yourself permission to rest. Accept help when it’s offered.
