Friday Night Lights ( Santa Barbara FNL ) is all about community, and Cottage Health is proud to be the official title sponsor for the fall season!

We loved seeing hundreds of kids, parents, and Cottage families stop by our booth on Friday to grab some giveaways, connect with our team, and have some fun.

Cottage Health is proud to support FNL and be part of the community we all call home.

For Cottage nurse Cara Sorenson, owning a home was always a dream — but the process felt overwhelming, and she and her family weren’t sure it was achievable.

Through the Cottage Health home buying assistance program, Cara was connected with knowledgeable resources and guidance that helped her navigate the process, overcome affordability and down payment barriers, and ultimately make first-time homeownership a reality for her family.

The program is helping Cottage employees reduce financial stress, build confidence and secure housing in the community they serve.

Cottage Health was proud to sponsor Friendship Center’s inaugural Dementia Care Conference, which brought together caregivers, healthcare professionals, families and community members for a day of learning, connection and support around dementia care.

We were also glad to see Cottage Health geriatrician Dr. Jayson Wright participate on the conference panel, sharing his perspective on caring for older adults and supporting healthy aging.

We’re grateful to be part of conversations that bring our community together and help support individuals and families navigating dementia.

Cottage Children’s Medical Center welcomed NICU graduates and their families back to the Santa Barbara Zoo for a very special reunion — a chance to reconnect with the nurses, doctors, therapists and care teams who were there during some of the most important moments of their lives.

It's a day to celebrate how far these little ones have come, catch up with families who have become part of the Cottage family, and most importantly, celebrate healthy, happy kids who are thriving.

From tiny NICU patients to growing kids exploring the zoo, to adults welcoming their own newborns at Cottage, these reunions are a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

Here’s to the graduates, their incredible families and the Cottage team who cared for them along the way.

Cottage Health’s multidisciplinary approach to brain tumor care was represented at the American Brain Tumor Association’s national conference, which brought together approximately 1,300 attendees.

During a panel discussion on “Behind the Scenes of a Tumor Board,” Cottage Neuro-Oncology Nurse Navigator Chelsea Brooks shared how multidisciplinary, patient-centered care brings specialists together to review complex cases and guide individualized treatment plans.

At Cottage, our brain tumor board includes experts across specialties, including a nurse navigator, neurosurgery, pathology, neuro radiology, radiation oncology, and neuro-oncology medical director Dr. Douglas Ney, who all collaborate to help ensure patients benefit from coordinated, comprehensive care. As the only neuro-oncologist in the tri-county area he and the brain tumor team fill a void needed in the community.
