Whether it’s stress reduction or relief from pain and discomfort I offer a variety of types of work to help keep you balanced, moving, and thriving in your daily life. My specialty is Ortho-Bionomy, described as “a highly effective system of bodywork based in a simple and profound philosophy: allow the body to correct itself. The hallmark of Ortho-Bionomy is pain relief.” It is a gentle work th

at uses comfortable positions and light compression help the body relax tension and realign in a more balanced way; it relieves pain without causing pain. This work has influenced my entire approach to bodywork, which is more a conversation with the body, following its lead regarding what it needs rather than imposing my ideas about what should happen. While I can use methods with deeper pressure when necessary, I still listen to the body for direction so the tissue remains relaxed and able to change. I'll describe the benefits and types of work I do in more depth in future installments. For the time being, here are the tools I use: For Stress Relief and Relaxation – Swedish Massage, Deep Swedish, Hot Stone Massage, Aroma Therapy.
